want the release of thousands of Palestinians abducted and held without trial by Israel. The day before Cpl Shalit's kidnapping, 2 Palestinians were kidnapped by Israel in Gaza. Why did Hezbollah kidnap two Israeli soldiers? Because they wanted Israel to negotiate the release of many Hezbollah members who have been kidnapped by Israel.

All of the kidnappings are wrong but the side with the most power has the greatest responsibility in ending the violence.
