Please do some research

I would like to suggest a few things to who ever took time to write this article:

1. Do some research on Liberia
2. You mentioned Doe but did not mention that he came to power via a coup..and guess which country gave him financial backing after he did..and guess who was president...so much for promoting Democracy huh?
3. "Liberia had been a fairly stable and successful nation since it was founded by repatriated American slaves in the 19th century, right up until things went horribly wrong and a civil war broke out between rival warlords—Prince Johnson, Samuel Doe and Charles Taylor. " ---WRONG

4. BUSH NEVER NEVER offered to send Marines on-shore...He anchored a ship on the horizon to scare Taylor but African blood isn't precious like that.

5. THIS IS WHY BLOGS ARE TERRIBLE...NO JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY....CRAP WRITTEN BY ANYONE WITH A COMPUTER

edualc

That's why you should point out errors, if you feel they are, on people's blogs. Not to speak for all of those who blog, but bloggers having no journalistic integrity must put them on the same level as the MSM. Doesn't it? I'll take bloggers who have a comments page where people can correct errors over journalists who are paid to put forth an ideology that don't have their errors corrected anyday of the week. Look at what happened in the NYT this week. The headline said that Antarctica was warming, but then in the actual article said that it was cooling in most parts including the South Pole. What do you call that?

What went wrong in Liberia is that it's in Africa. End of story. I think Hiphoprepublican would have been better served talking about Bush's enthusiastic approach to dealing with AIDS and other diseases in Africa. That you can't parse words with.
