Why Obama is Winning

Add to that the Oprahfication of his campaign, her legion of mindless robots, all these people in a trance when he speaks, and the FACT that Hitlary! is not liked by A TON of women, she is in deep kimchee. I agree with your statement its all or nothing. She believes she is owed this nod, much like McCain feels as though it is HIS turn. One positive thing that could come out of an Obama nod,is that MAYBE we finally would be rid of these two once and for all. Unlikely, but hey,ya gotta have HOPE,EH?

If Obama wins, it is all over for Hillary...even if Obama is a one-and-done President. Hillary is already 60 years old and would be 64 before she had another chance at the top spot, and Obama would have to be terrible for there to be a serious challenge to a sitting President from within the Party. That means that if Hillary loses now, it would really be 8 years before she gets another shot at the top...and not to be mean, but not many people are lining up to support a 68 year old as President. And that goes for McCain as well...his age and temperment are already a mark against him, and no one is going to vote for him 4 years from now.

Can't find much to disagree with there. Should Obama win,he had best stock up on good advisors who can steer him through that minefield. For the time being,I would suggest to him to sleep with one eye open should he pull further away from Hillary during the primaries. Weird things happen to people who derail Clintons.

"Weird things happen to people who derail Clintons."

We agree, for once.

Even though I am an Obama supporter, I still don't count out the Clintons yet. These people are perhaps the most masterful politicians we have ever seen. They won't give up easily.

Ralph and Clyde

I have said this before and I'll say it again here: the Clintons aren't done yet. Both of them are of the mind that this is somehow her destiny, and people do not let their destinies go without a fight. The thing about Obama is that he may just be more of a politician than the Clintons realized. I don't see where he's saying a whole heckuva lot, but he is as smooth as they come...and he does it without seeming "slick". There is an air of genuine feeling about him that allows people to easily support him. Heck, if McCain gets the GOP nomination and Obama wins on the Dem side he may get my vote...especially if he avoids letting Dame Hillary on the ticket with him. At least with him I'd be getting an honest, open liberal and not a conservative imposter.

BTW, is this new format annoying anyone else but me? I like to be able to see my posts when I do my responses, so that if there is something that is specifically commented on I can see it. I hope they do something about that soon!

Flagwaver

Agree all the way. But,as long as it works like it's supposed to I guess we should be grateful,eh?

Ralph: Left you a short message at Gunny's,if you get a chance.

Don't look now but somebody stole your front page. I had to click a featured post link to get here.

Dead center on Obama. I doubt that unless he took the WH tour he even knows where the Oval Office is located.

McCain and "Sniffles" on the other hand probably have mock-ups in their homes.

I just put up a new post at my blog. Stop when you get a chance.

BTW, what do you think of the new format? I have to say I am not loving it.

Sarge

I am not loving it myself! I have to click a featured post to get here as well...and it's my blog! How is anyone going to be able to read my posts, since I don't make every one of them a feature?

I think you're right on the mark!

Obama is the new Messiah and is all things to everyone because he has so little history in politics! He's NICE.

My sister is voting for him just because of his nice, non-corrupt 'image.' Yeah, why not have Mr. Rogers as U.S. Pres?!

I highly doubt Hillary would ever be VP, she's not one to want to be in the background... unless she has some clever assassination plan for Oprahma and can then claim the POTUS spot!

Ralphie

You and your fellow racist Dim-ocrats are continually on display.

Why did you have to invade THIS blog with your idiotic racist junk like you did at Gunny's place and mine?

Fish & Squiddy

Fish, calm down! Ralph and I actually have some very good debates when he stops by the Spade...although many of them are about racial topics. But he's a welcomed guest here just as you are; it takes all kinds ya know! For a nice sample of how or debates look, check out the comments on my post "Taking Their Hacks at Tiger"...if you can find it!

Squiddy, it is sooo easy to like Obama b/c just like you said, he has no real record or history to run on. But as the general election gets closer someone is going to have to force him to give us some of his policy ideas, not just his usual "hope & change" rhetoric. I would love for Mrs. Clinton to do just that, but with the media squarely on Obama's side any challenge from Mrs. Clinton will be spun as a racial attack on Obama. Imagine that, the Clinton's being accused of racism simply for running their political campaign to win. I guess being declred the "First Black President" doesn't mean much anymore, eh?

BTW, what did you think of Romney dropping out and endorsing McCain? Just when I was coming around on Romney he confirms my worst suspicions; he's a Republican hack and not a true conservative.

Flagwaver

It's not that Obama has no ideas or positions, it's that we don't know what they are. That is by design. He is the blank screen for voters to project what they want to see. It works. But presidents are mostly shaped by the situations they inherit and events. You can never be sure what they are going to do until they are elected. BJ Clinton ended up fulfilling the Reagan legacy of balanced budgets for instance despite kneecapping himself with HillaryCare and gays in the military early on. I'm already resigned to the fact that Obama is going to be the next president. I wrote a final political essay on this election last Sunday that you might want to read. Conservatives are winning if we can just stop buying into the establishment's arguments that the election of one candidate or the other will destroy the country. Read my essay. You might feel better.

Thanks for the defense against Crawfish. We had a pretty intense debate. I beat him pretty bad. Mudst be angry. You should have seen it man. Dude put sooo many falsehoods out their about La Raza, NAACP, myself, etc. It was pretty sad, actually.

Also, Thanks for your post on my blog. I agree on Snyder: his is a horrific owner. As a season ticket owner, I have MANY stories on FedEx and the Snyder regime. D@mn Republicans.

As for Ocho Cino, I don't think us getting a 30 year old diva with no experience in the WC offense is too bright. Then again, it is a Redksin move.

As for Zorn, I like the guy. However, at this opening press conference, he said the Redskins colors were "maroon, black, and yellow"LOL!!!! Even my little daughter know the proud colors of America's Real Team.

Zorn also said that this is not a rebuilding project (I disagree) and he feels comfortable with Danny and Vinny running the show (YIKES!!!). Zorn is just happy to have the experience. Again, the only way the Redskins will return to glory is use hiring a COMPETENT GM, firing Vinny, and sending Danny on a year long sabatical to Aruba aboard Redskin One.

Finally, Flag I may be leaving you, Thinking seriously about deleting this account on TH. Will provide details later.

Ralph

No thanks needed, I was just telling the truth. We rarely agree, but we don't spend time fussing about stuff, we debate it. That's why I do this blog, to have conversations and debates about issues and you certainly spice things up around here!

As for your Skins, I don't think they need to rebuild so much as refocus. There are plenty of pieces that are good, especially on defense, and a WC style could really feature all of Clinton Portis' talents...remember how dominant he was running the WC in Denver?

As for leaving the Hall, I can't even pretend to tell you what to do. Let me know the reasons why you're considering this move; I probably can't help, but it may help just to vent a little. And if you do leave us, you will surely be missed at the Spade.

I see your homepage is still not populated. Have you thought about opening your posts in the edit mode, leaving them unchanged but using the control to re-publish your articles? Might work.

Sarge

I tried what you suggested, but I cant even SEE my previous posts...it's like they're just gone! This always happens when TH tries to make changes, things go screwy and no one can seem to help. I'v tried contacting them to no avail...I guess I'll have to try again.

Sorry to respond

so late. I had thought about leaving and am still undecided. I'm thinking Daily Kos seems like a nice place. Some cons on here are beyond reproach.

Also, I wrote a new blog piece today.
