Great explanation, this makes a lot of sense!

Most liberals I know tend to use the faulty idealism of the liberal way to mask their personal lack of morals. It's easier to say you want to save the whales or stop global warming than to fix oneself. Displaced moral indignation... it's SUVs destroying mankind, not fathers abandoning their children!

Even regarding the illegal immigration issue or welfare -- they quote from the Bible and talk about charity -- as long as it is the GOVERNMENT providing it, not they themselves. How many homeless Iraqis does Barbra Streisand take into her home?

A whole lot of moral pontificating and little integrity. (I'm being general... there are many of a liberal persuasion who are 'good' people.)
