The War Injury That None Dare Speak

Hmingway wrote "The Sun Also Rises" one of his books based upon his serving as an ambulance driver in World War One. The hero of this book was a soldier who suffered the loss of his genitals. This injury was ignored for some unknown reason until a recent article written by Aaron Glantz who quoted a doctor who during his four months tour of duty amputated one or two wounded soldier's genitalia a day. Yet this injury, much like the loss of vision and minds, is seldom if ever mentioned in our mainstream news media. Let's discuss it!!
