Democrats Persecute Minorities Who Are Conservative.

Exactly...

Sheila, This is just what I was telling the NPR this morning. Great minds think alike! I didn't think Gonzalez was the greatest, and he certainly made some political mistakes, but nothing to justify the witch-hunt they put him under.

Josue

Shelia

His leaving will not stop the investigations about the attorney firings [a non story], or the NSA case.

Senator Specter said he would not take the job if asked, what a laugh.

Hope the Senate Democrats will not make too much of a circus out of the "advise and consent"

Why...

..does the Administration keep throwing their members overboard? When will they realise the left will never stop no matter who it is? This only encourages the left and legitimatizes their actions.

Josue

Yes, it is a disturbing thing to watch. I agree with everything you said.

I guess the "get Bush" crowd is a little happier now, but that won't last.

Thanks for checking in.

Jevica

I am amazed at what the dems get away with, with the help from their friends, the MSM...non-stories become facts to be investigated with the leftie spin, and the beat goes on...it's a never ending spiral downward into misinformation, but they always get their way...you're right about what's not going to change.

Jimmy

It's too bad, but what can the administration do? I don't blame Gonzales in a way, they are trashing him everyday, and how can he lead under these circumstances? The president can't force him to stay.

It's a pathetic mess with the dems in charge. The political scene is deteriorating to the point where no one wil have any credibility. Look at what the dems are doing to Al Maliki.

They won't be happy until America is defeated and Bush and his admin are hated and discredited around the world...

Yup.

Gonzalez is just the tip.

How many minority conservatives are loathed out there?

V Daddy

Yeah, you're right...remember Janet Reno? That woman was a disaster! But she didn't have to resign, and the repubs, am I forgetting or did they demand she resign, and label her an incompetent?

The sad part is

that these Dems should have never gotten back in power. They ran in 2006 saying that they would investigate the Bush Administration, nonstop, and they have fulfilled that promise. I was sick to hear Gonzales had resigned. The persecution has paid off for them, and they will keep going.

When does a Democrat ever have to resign? Most of them have been in Congress for years and most are corrupt.

Will we have the "will" to fire them in '08 and elect a Republican President?

And you are right. The Dems hate minorities that are Republican!!!

Sandra

It's disheartening when republicans are persecuted for doing their job, while dems get away with major corruption.

Well, as long as they keep winning, they will continue to do damage to our country...

Janet Reno

Was a disaster indeed.

Too bad Ascroft retired, though. He was great.

V Daddy

Ashcroft...they were already on his case, and would have probably driven him out as well...

Just think about Michael Steele in MD

That's another example of the Liberal hypocrisy when it comes to conservative minorities. Its truly embarrassing to think people would be so backward--the things they did to him and the things that where said.

Steele is a great example

I thought he was/is fantastic. Ran a great campaign, but was ignored/shunned by the black community...

VA Daddy

"Minority Conservative" is an oxymoron. One must forego the former in order to become the latter. The concepts are mutually exclusive.

The irony is that most, in fact nearly all, conservatives couldn't care less about one's color as much as the content of their character. It's liberals that perpetuate this deviciveness for political gain and focus on minority status as a defining factor.

Personally, I think it's almost metaphorical; in effect you become your own person only after you stop blaming others for your lot in life (ie victimhood). Once you control your own destiny, the Left really doesn't have much to offer.

Sheila

You are cordially invited to partake of the latest essay over at the Heartland.

let's see...

According to the Dim-ocrat Party:
Gonzales....not mezzican enough
Thomas....not black enough
Condi....not black enough or woman enough
Powell....ok for a general, but as S of S, not black enough

In other words...they ain't liberals, so they ain't qualified to be minorities.

Josue

You are so right. Steel is a very sharp man, but the left can't deal with conservative independent minorities like Steel, who don't give them the credit for their success. It's pretty sick, and a darn shame. Like Larry Elder says they are "victocrats" that want all minorities to be "victims", and play the blame game...

VDaddy

It's pretty sad when people fall for "group think"...that's what happens when the dems succeed in brainwashing a whole segment of society...

Scottie

Yup...the racism is on the left that's for sure...Martin Luther King's dream certainly isn't the dream of the race mongers on the left who do nothing BUT look at skin color...character means nothing to them...only what they can get out of the "race" business.

Scottie

I'll try to get by your place...I haven't had a chance to visit around TH...

Hey Crawfish

You nailed it! Sad but true...

Scottie

Just saw your post to me here. I agree fully. It is us who most closely has fulfilled the dream of Dr. King. Ironic, a bit, I think.

And I like your description of victimhood and the left. That's in large part what keeps them where they are: its someone elses fault!

Sheila

Group think is powerfula nd real, though destructive.
