Good stuff, Eric
As so many have told me about my satire - it's really good when what you describe just bumps up against the possible. Unfortunately, the picture you've painted is just that - becoming more and more possible. Given enough time (maybe a THIRD D'ohbama term?) we would probably begin to see the stuff you've described - chilling thought, ain't it?
I think we need more of this kind of writing - just to get people thinking about what COULD BE. If we don't stop it.
Again, I liked it!

I agree. Whether or not it could happen during or after Obama, I definitely don't want a resultant such as this! I'd like to get an opinion from someone from the former Soviet Union. Or maybe even a day in a life of a communist. Thanks for your comment.

Eric: Want An Opinion from the USSR?
Putin says the US is quickly going Marxist and will "implode". A former USSR researcher gives his opinion that the US will split into at least 2 countries within the next 10 years. Two former USSR military men say that the US Military COULD possibly revolt over actions by the Obama Administration is taking.
I for one would prefer to accept Patrick Henry's words rather than "exist" as the hero of your article.

That was too funny. I loved the quote about Code Pink being held hostage. That was too funny!
And those bad SUV's. They need to be taken to a large dump and burned. Ugh! You know, isn't it funny that green heads are not talking about the mercury in those neato lightbulbs and how hard they are to clean up if one breaks? Clear the area people.
And what about those hybrid batteries. Hmmmm....they are not easy to dispose of either. Oh but no worries....we are green and clean and everything in between.

And congress
isn't putting out the fact that for every one green job created, 2.2 current jobs are eliminated.
Has anyone done the jobs eliminated so far to the jobs created/saved to date? It has to be a negative number.

Fantastic, frightening satire, Eric! If you are posting under your real name, Chains it! Soon we will soon have a cyber czar! prez is so Chavez. he went out and spoke for half an hour without a cyber czar appointee to announce in which he just created another new bureaucracy and the MSM gave him airtime to do it! .... My "hopes" are high that prez will soon overreach even more than he already has and someone will SLAP him into reality! The imminent bankruptcy of GM on Monday morning is a solemn message of what socialist/collective thought brings. When the parcity of goods appears in the American supermarkets and tp, soap and cat food are not available, maybe the message will finally be received of the destruction BHO has brought on to us all, by spreading the wealth. Excellent post, Eric!

So would I. I just wrote of an average family guy knowing things are wrong, but too afraid to step up. I've heard what Putin said and have heard from some other former USSR occupants, but I'd like the average citizens outlook as well. Thanks for commenting.

Yeah, it seems environmentalists only look to the future in their ways, but not realities, such as the batteries and light bulbs you have listed. It's like the government spending. They only care about power and not at all about the future of America as we would like it.
I've noticed there seem to be a lack of good looking people at code pink!

I can't remember which country did a study, but found out Green jobs weren't going to help anything, even in construction, energy, and so on. It may have the possibility for a temporary present boost, but in the long run we're in trouble if the entire country moves along those line. You are right. The green jobs haven't accomplished much at all.

Thanks. You'd think that Obama would have been slapped reality when he was rejected in Europe on his apology tour, but his ego is so large it would take many punches from any boxer or fighter to wake this man up. I think he's so excited to be president, using our money for trips and expensive dinners, while not really listening to us in the first place, that his carelessness is being overlooked in every decision he is making. I wonder how long it will take us to recover from this administration?

You have points which are really not funny. They are so true that they hurt nowadays. The Pravda article points all of this out. Politico today has some material on your points and actually applaud the Pontificator in Chief on what you chide snidely. It is like living in Oz. Drop by my newest which is on econ. error that you too point out. Thanks.

Thanks. Even though I throw in some jokes this life could be real like you said. I don't see how people could wish for a life like this. I'll stop by soon.

Oh code pink! Yeah! But hey they always get on tv, even if they have two protestors. Big deal to MSNBC. They probably fund them too!
Over the last few months, it seems to have really gotten worse with the power and the agendas. It would be nice if someone actually stepped up and did something for the American people. I won't hold my breath!

Yeah. I've seen a youtube video with just 3 "undercover" pink protestors. Most of the comments called them idiots or ugly, etc. Code pinkers are annoying. I'm surprised someone from MSNBC doesn't start their own chapter of Code Pink funded by the station! Yeah, things are getting worse.

I hope those kids were being taught to inform on their parents/family members/friends. No dictatorial regime is safe if its citizens are not in fear of one another.
Chilling.
However, considering Pres Obama believes himself to be Lincoln, FDR, and Kennedy all rolled into one, his actions make more sense.
Lincoln: he's trying to cause a Civil War, so as to be able to save the Union.
FDR: the economy is the "worst" ever (thanks to the modern day Hoover--tongue in cheek), so it must be saved ... by enacting productivity limiting measures and other economically disastrous policies.
Kennedy: youthful (and taken as a chump by America's adversaries) ... so he's acting as though he does not even notice anything going on outside America's borders.

Good points. I think the closest is Kennedy. His foreign policy is amazing bad.
