Is The DaVinci Code Something to be Taken Seriously?

Good synopsis

Congratulations, you managed to say what some authors have taken entire books to say. Dan Brown is not a historian, he is a novelist and he is writing historical FICTION based upon less-than-trustworthy ancient documents. As a writer, however, I would give Brown's book a C. He takes way too long to build a scene, his descriptions are lackluster and his plot is slow. I've read some of his other books and I think he's tried too hard to push an agenda with DaVince and forgot to spend time on writing an interesting book.

I kept falling asleep during the movie. I think it's the only Tom Hanks or Ron Howard film I have ever nodded off in, but overall, I had a good nap.

Thanks

To auroawatcher: Thanks for your comments and the good points you made I agree that compared to the book the movie was not very good.
