Comment on: If I were King

With Regards to Roe v. Wade

No offense, but your solution

kind of misses the point. That being that America is founded on the principle that all men are created equal. At conception, every human being becomes a unique member of mankind. At conception, he or she has been created and is entitled to full protection of the law just like every other human being.

Your solution does not address this point. Therefore, I find it lacking as a reasonable solution.

thanks for your comments and let me say I'm sorry it took this long to answer you, but I am just now able to get your comment to down load after two days of trying.

Actually, I agree with you fully, however, we must remember that our Nation (while being a Christian Nation that is tolerant of other beliefs) is a mixture of beliefs/ideas and social/political ideology. For my part, I would love to see abortion outlawed completely, but this simply (in the world of Casesar) is not reasonable to expect. As well, there is the issue of the God given gift of "free will" and sadly enough this includes a woman choosing to have an abortion. Considering that over 50 million abortions have occured since the passage of Roe v. Wade and that (according to the best research I can accomplish) less than 2 percent of these were for the reason of Rape, Incest, Life of the Mother. With my program we would put an end to the practice of using abortion as "Oops birth control". We wold reduce the number of abortions performed by over 98 percent.
Considering the number of lives my proposal would have save had it been in place at the beginning of Roe v. Wade, I have to respectfully disagree and say it would have been very reasonable. As we will never be able to end all abortions, IT IS REASONABLE and our Christian duty to limit them as much as we can in the interest of saving those children we can. It is NOT REASONABLE to simply say "I believe all abortions should be outlawed" and be able to accomplish nothing legally/politically or socially to advance this belief. One child saved is ONE CHILD SAVED ! If we can save MILLIONS, SHOULD WE NOT?

God bless you and yours
