RESTORING REPRESENTATION

have to disagree on one point

I will vote for an incumbent, Sen. John Cornyn. During the immigration debacle, I wrote and called his office to express my complete opposition to the bill. Got nice form letters back (ok, not so personal but what the heck). I watched closely and this man never waivered from his disdain of the bill and voted against it. He has represented his constitutients well and has not gone off and done his own thing. I don't, however, vote a straight ticket and never have. Being informed about WHO you are voting for is the ticket. Get rid of people like Pelosi, Reed, Graham and their ilk. They have their own agendas, not representing anyone but themselves.

some incumbents are OK

Perhaps I was a bit rash when I said don't vote for incumbents. A few, a very few are alright. Cornyn is one and Jeff Sessions and Jim Demint come to mind. too bad I can't vote for any of them since I live in NC. But there is a danger. Look what happened to John Kyl with this immigration bill. I always considered him a good man but he really jumped the tracks on immigration. I'm sure he acted with the best of intentions but this just goes to show what can happen if you are exposed to Washington too long.
