Boarder thoughts and posse comitatus

As far as I'm concerned our government is in violation of the Constitution because said document states the government is protect us from invasion.
Do we really need any more than that??

We are being invaded (in hordes) with the explicit allowance of federal government.

The whole federal government should be impeached as far as I am concerned.

Pep

Well, yeah. Did you note however, that the language used is similar to a formal Declaration of War?

Yep, war it is!

Hey Dash, where is your tag article. I tagged you so you need to put one up. Go to my blog for the rules.
It's just a fun little thing.

Pep

haven't written it yet...probably be up late this w/e or poss monday. though I may have it up tomorrow...don't know yet

Dash

I've got a new chat with McCain. Not an easy one to do but managed somewhat. Come on over when you get a chance.

Dash

If ya get a chance come to the Buchanan thread. Moonbats all over the place.

Yeah, well, good luck.

You have no Americans in Congress. You have communists, globalists, liberals, one-worlders and tree huggers and all of them want no borders. And they are all one and the same and that ain't American interests that they have. You have laws on the books dealing with illegal aliens; you have laws on the books dealing with employers who hire illegals. Why all the hand wringing and talk about impossibility of deporting 12 Million and what happened to the fence?
You are being stroked. Period. All the politicians are doing is trying to keep you at a mild boil and somewhat pacified for a while longer until their goal is Fiat accomplai. By the time you wake up and realize you were being stroked, you will have been phucked.

yep

and without Vasoline as well...

NO, With Vasoline

They just put a little sand in it....

LOL

This is how you propose to treat our nation's "boarders" -- not very hospitable are we?

Nope

But simply an idea that COULD be implemented.

Hospitality don't really enter into it; national security and sovereignty do.

Posse Comitatus

Posse Comitatus is to keep the federal government from using the Army to enforce its will on AMERICAN Citizens; NOT to prevent an Invasion of Aliens from the South....or North.

Funny thing, Eisenhower nationalized the Guard in Little Rock in '57 or '8. Somewhere around there. So I guess it is just on paper and has no teeth.

Well it depends

upon the purpose to which it is put.

Getting minorities through the doors, feeding the starving, bombing Christians - Fine!

Removing dictators or enforcing the boarder against invaision - NO! We're MEAN!

I like it

In order to implement anything like this we have to stop acting like sheep and elect people with enough spine to put American citizens first. I only see one in the Presidential race so far and it's Duncan Hunter. The top three in both parties are on board the cheap labor express. Mostly what I see on TH comment boards is baaah, we have to get behind Rudy, baaaah, he's the only one who can beat Hillary, baaaah. I think that's B.S., she has 49% negatives. Only 60% voted last time and turnout was the difference. My belief is Rudy would push turnout down. There might even be a third party, splitting the vote. Give Americans a chance to vote for a candidate who WILL secure the border and watch what happens to turnout. Americans want their government to fulfill it's most basic responsibility.

The primary responsibility of the U.S. government is to protect the territorial integrity and people of this country. They have completely abdicated this responsibility. Both parties have been complicit in this. We are being told it is not possible to control our borders, enforce our laws, and thereby control our destiny as a nation. Hogwash. We are being sold out by corporations intent on importing workers for jobs that can't be exported with the taxpayers paying the true costs, financial and human. If we act like sheep and don't stop the inundation across our borders, we will lose our country without a bleat.

(P.S. please leave out the a when spelling borders, great piece otherwise)

oops on the spelling

I guess I spend too much time at Boarders the bookstore to catch the spelling :D

Thanks for the reasoned comments. I don't know if I agree that Rudy is the electable one this year or not. Hunter or Tancredo are both strong on the border though neither has the name recognition outside of their districts to mount a truly successful campaign. Their funding sources just ain't there. I hope they make enough noise to force the mainstream candidate to take a serious look at border issues though. Even Newt has probles with this one; though I think his are along the line of what Rudy's appear to be: amnesty out of pragmatism more than anything else.

I agree that we know where they are and can get them out - expensive in both time and transportation costs, though less expensive than currently ignoring them and hoping it will go away. That is when we are not caving in to both the Republic of Mexico's demands for 'remittance $' or the Anti-Constitutional Litigation Unit's threats of lawsuits.

Best transportation plan would be to return them to country of origin at point of entry furthest from US. Give em $50 as we kick 'em off the plane and it'd still be cheaper than the current policies of catch/release, ignore, return to nearest point of entry, and repeat. Combining that with Guard units on the border with shoot armed on sight orders would clarify the issue rather quickly. Not to mention reducing the co$t to taxpayers of keeping so many of them in our prison system. I'm sure we could satisfy the families of our Citizens killed or molested by these animals if we implanted a small explosive charge in their heads and tied it to a GPS receiver. If they get any closer than 3miles of any US border the receiver sends a small current to the detonator in the explosive. End of problem.
