Remember British Conservative Party Leader David Cameron and His Family

Bert. The mother of Conservatism
I join you in sympathizing with David Cameron and his family. David truly devotes himself to his family. Very likely he is unique in this respect. I know that he performed his duties, fo the most part admirably, under the yoke of the terrible knowledge of the inevitable.
As an inveterate Anglophyle, I have found that the British Tory Party has served me well in my attempts to discern the future of American institutions. Invariably, the trials and tribulations arising at the Dispatch Box in The Commons or persisitng in Prime Minister's Question Time soon appear on the California beaches before sweeping like wild fire eastward to New York.
Very soon I hope to be Strolling the Strand; and if i am in luck, I will find a friendly MP at the restauraunt at The Barbican, who will give me and my wife tickets to the innersanctum of Westminster. No lawmakers have ever been more accessible than Brit MP's. Witnessing the slowly dimming British Paliament has been painful. The EU has succeeded beyond any reasonable expectation in absorbing and coopting the greatest political achievement in history.
When the otherwise admirable Maggie Thatcher mistakenly led the Brits into the EU "Social Chapter," the end was forecast for British and American free institutions. Again, there's that flow from Westminster to Washington by way of old Lorelei California. No matter that the great Lady laterally confessed that she had been led into the compact by duplicitous members of her cabinet and treacherous Tory advisers.
David Cameron has matured since becoming Tory leader; however, I doubt that he will restore a Conservatism that I recognize. Time obscures everything.
Thanks.
