Sorry to act my age, but...

DUDE, That picture of Sarah, like, TOTALLY ROCKS!

Palin, She's Fabulous

Hey, this is America, and you're allowed to act your age. (She looks fabulous!) There, I got to use the word "fabulous" for maybe the first time in my life.

steve

The GOP won't nominate two Northerners

What you're proposing, a Giuliani/Palin ticket, would mean the GOP is nominating an all-Northerner ticket. I just can't see the GOP base going for that even if Ms. Palin is viewed as conservative. The GOP is not that much of a Northern party anymore. It's going to be a radical enough step to consider nominating Giuliani, who is from a city that some social conservatives don't even consider to be "American." They certainly need to be appeased with a Sun Belt conservative as running mate.

SteveL

I know that Alaska is technically "North", but as far as regions are concerned, it's more a part of the West, and it's certainly a world away from New York...and because it's so conservative and rural, AK is (in a sort of twisted way) a part of the "sun-belt"

Palin has chutzpah!

"Sarah Barracuda" lives...I was just reading up on my Alask news (there's some big to-do about closing a state-owned dairy plant)...and Palin just canned the ENTIRE State Agriculture Board when they wouldn't work with her on the issue.

Some may see that as rash, but I see it as a good example of decisive leadership (kind of like a young, female Giuliani).

Here's the news article: http://ktuu.com/Global/story.asp?S=6676715

Sarah Barracuda, My Kinda Gal

I think Sarah Barracuda is terrific. I'm also reading up on Todd, who has won the "Iron Dog Snowmobile" race (2,000 miles) four times. He's known as "First Dude." She will cut Hillary to pieces. I may move to Wasilla!

SteveL, uh uh

If the GOP nominates the usual "two old white guys" it will lose -- and it should lose. To call Alaska "northern" is a stretch. It's NorthWest. If the GOP had to nominate a Southerner (who?) to win the South, it would not be whistling Dixie, but rather whistling past the graveyard.

My pleasure...

I am from Denver, not Michigan. I did live just outside of Detroit for 4 years, and we used to "summer" on the lake when I was a kid..

Keep up the good work here!

Mad's Dad, Thanks

Oops, I will be doing my Sunday feature on Colorado soon -- maybe this weekend, and your blog will be "featured on the feature page." I must have had Michigan-on-the-brain. I like TH a great deal, but there are things they could do (like having you and me run the place) that would make it much better. They're featuring "Dawnsblood" in their top 10 blogs, but Dawn stopped posting on it in February. Yet it may be there almost unto eternity. I find that no one there seems to have the time to answer e-mails. Not good. But hey, I'm thankful the TH site exists.

Steve..

I've had good response from Josue (his blog is linked in my blogroll) on "issues" with the Townhall forum. For the most part, "they" listen to the bloggers, and are trying to make things better. "Whadda ya expect for free", I keep saying to myself.

As for the "Top 10", it's based on page views to the individual blogs. The ironic thing on Dawnsblood is this: people "click" on his blog, because it's in the Top 10, so even tho there is no new content, it continues to "stay", because people keep clicking on it. Eventually, it will go away. It has been that way since the Top 10 was formed. I have been on that list pretty much from the beginning, and notice that all that seems to change is the order in which they fall.

I'll do some reading up on Sarah, and let you know what I think. In the meantime, keep up the good work, and keep doing that grassroots thing!
