I don't know WHAT is going on with the type and the background color on my last two posts. My apologies, but it ain't me!

tribute to you and your family. I am in tears, Jan. This is the most moving tribute to family I have read in some time. I am humbled you would think I helped inspire you in any way.

So the books are not published? Have you reconsidered that? You have a gift for communicating deep emotions without resorting to emotionalism.

I know you will continue to cherish those grandchildren (and your entire family). If I read you right, they are the reason you will continue to fight so hard to preserve the U.S.A.

You absolutely read me right. They are the reason I want so much to preserve some shred of our formerly great country. My in-laws in Germany have almost to a person failed to marry and reproduce, and they really have nothing to fight for, so they are willing to allow whatever the government does, and even seem unmoved by the creeping infiltration of islam. After all, there is nothing coming after them, so why care? Easier to sit back and collect government money--as long as it holds out.
I don't want to be Europe, and I don't want my children's children to grow up in that Godless, amoral society that is ALWAYS the result of socialism/communism. Thanks again.

Yes, it does take one aback--and my in-laws are pretty typical of Europeans, though one brother-in-law does seem to get it. Still, none of them gets the love of liberty that has been our most treasured and traditional value. It has been bred out of them, if ever it was there, and they've gone the way of France, where equality trumps liberty and sloth trumps ambition. I think I'll stay here and fight. Thanks Mrs. AL!

Sorry about the whole Benny thing, He irks me that he like to rag on you. I went to his blog because I didn't wnat to have this on your blog , he brought it back here.

I don't blame you for Benjamin's participation in this arena. For some reason he comes here and argues with me. I have told him he'd be happier elsewhere, but he says he likes to see how far the right has gone or some such thing. I don't mind, but wish he were more open to conservative values, which as I have pointed out to him, but which he refuses to acknowledge, are the only hope we have. Smaller government, individual liberty and RESPONSIBLITY, freedom (not license), lower taxes, freedom, marketplace economy, let's see, did I mention liberty? Thanks for stopping by as usual Jim.

Thanks for your kind thoughts, but, based on what I've seen when "conservatives" (not really - actually rightwingers) run the Government, I cannot conclude that conservatism is the only hope we have. When we go to war, I like it to be based on facts, not the faith of a zealot like the president you foisted on us for 8 years.

...is that you do not KNOW any facts, apparently, so perhaps you can do a little research. The fact that is probably number one on MY list is that there were absolutely WMDs in Iraq, in the form of biological and chemical weapons, tons of them. Good ol' Saddam used them on his OWN people, so try to imagine what his next plan might have been for them. They were there, some were found, the rest went to Syria.I have a radio show for you to listen to. It's a Phoenix show, but available on the Internet. You'll believe what you want. We knew decades before that Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds. We didn't go all the way across the world because Saddam had chemical weapons. We were told repeatedly by the Bush Administration that we didn't want the "smoking gun" to be a "mushroom cloud". What they were saying was that he had atomic or nuclear weapons. Well, he didn't. But rightwingers just can't admit fault when it comes to their idiot president.
