Heck, Recuse Yourself

Agreed- and the bigger issue is
I agree that Heck should have recused herself. Most people don't have the Judges number at home.
But, the real zinger is that Lieberman thought by doing this in Heck's courtroom, and taking the plea- it wouldn't get out and stay quiet. It almost did- until someone called a tip in to Channel 7.
Dennis Lieberman, Debbie Lieberman, and the whole Democratic party in Montgomery County still believe that things can be done behind closed doors- like this, and like selecting candidates for a primary.
Those days are over- go see http://www.cluetrain.com and look at number 12.
There are no more secrets.
And that, is why true democracy may make a comeback in the next few years.
We have the power to be informed and influence the system like never before.

I couldn't agree more with your post. Too bad this post can't get on the front page of the DNN.

Thanks for your comments. David, you are exactly right about the MontCo Dems. We have a lot of progress to be made as the GOP against them and their ingrained interests. That is why younger GOPers (along the lines of John Husted) need to run for office in the county. Thanks for the link--I'll check it out. JT
