The Obama Hangover

Dont Get your Hopes Up

The only way to beat Obama would be to start now on an aggressive campaign to define him as a leftist, far out of the American mainstream. McLame wont even let his warm-up speaker refer to obama's middle name. With the totally inferior liberal troll who has managed to seize the Republican nomination we have NO chance of winning. None.

I agree that McCain has been rather weak in his campaigning so far, but, then again, it is still VERY early. Voters rarely remember anything about pre-July campaigning come election time.

Also, I don't think McCain really has to do anything. Obama is destined to self-destruct, McCain has only to keep from seeming a bigger fool than Obama. And regardless of one's opinion of McCain, I think most will agree he can manage to appear competent if he needs to do so.

As I argued, Obama will need to adopt clear positions to win the middle, and, once he does that, he will begin to cool down a lot of the Obamaniacs. Just by virtue of what is required to win over the center, Obama will not be able to maintain his cult of personality.

At least, that is my prediction. I could be completely off base. Perhaps the independents will go for his content-free campaigning, or the left will not abandon him as he adopts positions calculated to win the center, but I don't see it.

Thanks for your comments and for reading my blog. I may not agree with you on this one, but I hope you come back again. In fact, I am very glad to see posters who don't agree with me on everything. It is much more interesting to have to defend my positions. So please comment again on this or any other article.

The Manchurian Candidate!!

He is beat even if he gets elected, for crying out loud....He wants to cut missile defense and slow the development of future combat systems, decrease our Nuclear weapons, ban fissile material...oh and negotiate with Russia about turning off the 'alert" for ICMBs...
I don't know about anyone else, but as much as any liberal claims we not any safer since 9/11, jsut get rid of any weapon capability we already own and we are instantly vulnerable.

Nee

Oh, I agree completely that the prospect of either Democrat in the White House is horrifying. As I wrote earlier, McCain gets my vote on defense alone, as the alternatives just scare me too much.

And to those who say we are no safer since 9/11, I have to ask how many terrorist attacks on US citizens in the 7 years before? And in the 7 years since? There is no question that, whatever he may have done wrong, Bush has been good on defense.

I know I keep saying it, but good to hear from you and come back again.

It is nice to have a reader who posts so often I am running out of novel ways to say "thanks for your support".
