Yup. Good summarization
of the Amateur Hour President. I sure agree that he's out of his league (to continue the sports metaphors).
However, I don't see that as a bad thing; I see it as an experience long-overdue that this country needs to endure if we're to re-acquire the sense of perspective and due-diligence we need to move forward again.
The country elected a clueless tyro as President. A guy who knows all the buzzwords without knowing their meanings.
Now the country's going to find out exactly what happens when it does that. That's a good thing; an object lesson.
Will it be painful? Yup. Many object lessons are. But those are also often the most meaningful lessons. Some people have to learn the hard way.
When I was very young (my Mom tells this story as I don't remember it) Mom would constantly tell me to not touch the hot iron. But I'd continue to crawl over to it and try to touch it. Finally one day, she let me touch it. Apparently that was the last time ever I made the attempt. The object lesson stuck from then on. TWO lessons, actually: irons are HOT and hurt; Mom gives good advice.
Things wouldn't be any better if McCain had won, as he and Obambi are on the same page on SO many policies. Arguably, they'd be even worse, because the GOP would still be toodling along in RINO mode; Pelosi and Reid would still hold the legislative reins; and the liberal policies being enacted couldn't be laid clearly at the doorstep of the Dem/libs.
At least we have clarity now.

Clarity, we have in spades
But it seems that too many are still blinded by Obama's personality and refuse to see what is right in front of them. I was watching Neil Cavuto on FOX the other day and he had some liberal radio hostess on who swears that the gains made by the stock market last week were the results of the stimulus package...even though most of the money has yet to be distributed!
And sadly, you're probably right about McCain. He has the same ideas on cap and trade, he won't stand up to the unions that have decimated the auto industry, and his only conservative stance has been on opposing earmarks.
On another McCain, what do you think about the Lady Meaghan whining about Ann Coulter? I know no one wants to hear people talk bad about a parent, but it is not exactly smart to start trading words with people who can make real public figures cry. It will be funny if Coulter decides to hit back; but somehow I don't see her going after the girl, because in the end she's just not really important.

Oh, yeah, Flag
That's all Obambi's got going for him: a nice speaking style. He's entirely a PR package with no substance; the epitome of "an empty suit". It's actually pretty funny, and I'm writing my next essay about exactly that. I may even quote myself from these comments in that.
As to McCain's kid....LOL!
Yeah, as the saying goes, it's not a good idea to take on someone who buys ink by the barrel!
Why would Coulter even bother with her? As apparently she didn't when Maher gave her the opportunity. It would only benefit the kid by lending her credibility and bestowing an implicit acknowledgement that the kid's of some import.
Which she isn't. Frankly, I had to look her up and find out what you were referring to in your comment! She wasn't even on my radar (or sonar, and my coast watchers had never even heard of her)!

What eats me up
What eats me up about this is that people are just refusing to see what an empty suit he really is! Hell, at least Bill Clinton had an idea of what he wanted to do and could articulate it without a teleprompter to guide him in his every utterance!
And I didn't know about Ms. McCain until I saw her on FOX and Friends one day whining about how Coulter said Hillary was more conservative than McCain...which is not what she said at all. She said what a couple of million other conservatives said about her Pop...he was almost as consistently liberal as Hillary; and those saying it were dead right! I don't get why anyone even cares what she says, other than the fact they can play up some internal rivalry in the GOP. But when you call yourself a "progressive Republican" no one in the GOP is taking you seriously anyway!

Yeah... "internal rivalry"!
You're right, "progressive Republican" is synonymous with "irrelevant".
I have to say, I think people are wising up to Obambi's essential vapidity. His poll numbers are already falling, and he hasn't even hit the magic 100-day mark yet. Right now, his numbers are lower than Bush's at this point in his second term.
He's already having problems with a Congress controlled by his own party.
I do believe the blush is coming off the rose.

I concur
There is a serious loss of blush off that rose, because Obama is finding out that the Democrats in Congress see themselves as the powerbrokers in the Party. And when you look at it, they're right. Obama had a minimal impact on the Party getting any Congresional gains, so he can't even claim any real coattail building of the Party's majority. Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, et al do not fear him in any manner and that makes for some tough sledding. And when you couple that with the sudden reemergence of some more conservative voices opposing him, without quaking over the media saying bad things about them, is really causing him trouble.

Spot-on,my friend. I believe a few of us called it,the buyer's remorse would set in soon enough. I sure didn't think it would only be 60 days before the meat spoiled.HUGE difference to RUNNING for POTUS as opposed to actually BEING said. In YET another stunning example of left and so-called right lunacy,Obama is announcing he wants to send $350 million to the Detroit Schools. For WHAT? Where in the Constitution does he get THAT authority? On the so-called right side of the equation,O'Reilly,in his talking points, said"NO,you CAN'T do that without taking over the school system".Does THIS nitwit know Obama CAN'T DO THAT either? No wonder the GOP is soon to be RIP.

Don't let O'Reilly fool you; he is not a conservative. He is a slightly right leaning populist who likes to champion certain causes and believes in global warming and other liberal fantasies. That's who he is and definitely not a conservative.

And I fully agree with your assessment of O'Reilly. He's no conservative at all. Every time he spouts off about "Big Oil" or CEO salary caps, he gives himself away.

O'Reilly needs to take his own advice:NO BLOVIATING. About all he's good for anymore.Never did like the guy,Hannity and he are of the same bent. When doing an interview,it would seem to me,to let your subject step in the pile on his own. No need to tell him to look down.

I can deal with Hannity
I can deal with Hannity, even with his "You're a great American" welcome and his "Let not your heart be troubled" (I hate it when people chop up Scripture like that)bit...even if he gets a bit worked up at times. But his new show on FOX is pretty good, now that he doesn't have to share time with The Joker. But O'Reilly pretty well blows. All he does is make every issue about himself, and fall in line with all the class warfare garbage they love on the left.

all I can say is...
that either Obama's the worst economist of a lifetime, or he doesn't care what happens to our economy as long as his policies are in play. The stupidity in our current administration reigns supreme, and I believe I have a better chance of being struck by lighting while bowling a game of 300 than Obama listening to a conservative like you or me! We screamed this would happen, and we were right.

Nice to have a fellow Eric come by the site! And you're right, this is possibly the most stupid group of people I have ever seen put in charge of anything of importance. I think you may be right about Obama simply wanting to slap his stamp on things, get his policies in place and the Republic be damned! Like Dick Morris has been saying, we may have the first modern President who governs according to his principles, only his principles are a disaster for this nation!
