The Right of the People

There is another reason why it is prudent and wise for Americans to have the right to bear arms. While it seems impossible for us to conceive today, suppose some great enemy decided to attack this nation. For example, suppose China should grow greatly in power over the next twenty to thirty years and formed an alliance with the OPEC nations. Suppose also that these nations decided that the US was their great hurdle to world domination and they conspired to engage us in war on our own soil. Wouldn't it be good, in such a case, that the average citizen was able to defend his own home? Wouldn't it be good if our people could form militias to fight off such an attack against us? I think that such a prospect would give any nation pause before entering into such a conflict with us. While such a scenario at the present seems impossible to us, this sort of thing has been common throughout the whole of human history. The right to bear arms gives our nation a secondary defense against invasion and that is certainly worth preserving.

The enlightened Libs are in such darkness, their 'Progressive Agendas' are very deceiving to 'the masses'

For the Scotus to have voted 5 to 4 on The Right to Bear Arms is troubling to say the least.
It goes to show how little they understand the intent of our Founding Father's. It shows us that the interpretaion of one word can be twisted in such a way as to change the implied intent. The one word in this case being 'militia'
