Yes I agree there were certainly better choices. The commission should start going to fox news. Oh well, in the end Iempty errh excuse me Ifill didn't ruin Sarah at all except for a couple times she might have not let Sarah keep talking but she probably ran out of time. Sarah still beat Biden so it's ok! Oh allow me to do a Charles Krauthammer. I nominate Amanda Carpenter to be a moderator of the next debate. She would do a wonderful job. Maybe a little tough on Obama but that's because he deserves it.

The fact that Ifill was a moderating woman meant to poison the well for Biden ; backfired. Palin tripped them both up and spoke directly to the public in such mannerism's that even Biden had to emit self conscious laughter as his past caught up with him. Palin kept referencing things that Joe supported in his own Presidential Campaign and which Obama ridiculed in his own stump speeches. Priceless, when she noted that she admired Joe as she watched those speeches on his foreign policy in his Presidential run and the underlining message was, Say it ain't so Joe! Did Obama, neuter you??

The real issue...
It's a matter of credibility. Although Ifill is a highly reputable journalist, not unlike many of her colleagues, she's well left of center. That means although she'll probably do reasonably well controlling her bias, in the spirit of journalistic integrity, having someone like Jim Lehrer moderate the debate would eliminate the perception of bias.

That would benefit everyone, because when you level the playing field you can focus on the candidates' performance rather than scrutinizing the moderator for any hint of bias, which is a distraction.

Its been out for months ? maybe in the circles you travel in Stephen I dont pay attention to the PBS Crowd and prefer to look to other sources for unbiased writing and reporting. If the shoe were on the other foot. ABC CBS NBC PBS NPR Reuter and AP would be calling for hearings and pointing fingers at the evil NeoCon Empire. Ifill will be dismissive of Sarah and thats to be expected. Dismissive and condescending, Democrats are good at that. No one can ever know or have the experience that Democrats have. People all over this country will be praying for Sarah !!!!
