Former Rep. William Jefferson Heads To The Slammer

The Democrat from Louisiana has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for bribery and other charges, including his infamous act of hiding $90,000 in his freezer. Prosecutors had asked for 27 to 33 years, and Jefferson's lawyers had asked for less than 10.

Of course Obama will give him a pardon. He is small potatoes compared to those who were given the benefit of pardon by our last dem President. The fact that Rich was given a pardon pretty much tells you just how phony this pardon thing can be. I just love that Vlad claims the dems will prosecute their own. I would love to hear his justifications on the Rich pardon amongst many of the others that Clinton and Holder felt were just.

Why are you surprised? Just because you guys reflexively defend every Republican caught in a crime doesn't mean liberals do, too. Jefferson was nailed, tried, and convicted. Throw the book at him.

They had to have picked 'em out of NOLA. They probably went out of the city to the boondocks where the citizens proudly call themselves: "Registered Coonass." (This statement is also seen as a sticker on lots of cars.)

I met a many of these folks while working up a new ship. They are a 'Breed Alone,' for certain, but they will go out of their way to help a person they like. And, they are the type of folks one wold like watching their back in times of trouble.

I LIKED the Coonasses!

Now at least one democrat will live the life they are trying to impose on the rest of us. The government will tell him when to get up,when to go to sleep, what and when he can eat, he'll get government run health care, and they will check his mail to make sure he doesn't say anything "inappropriate". If he's lucky he may even find a job, doing laundry.

Yes, Nancy blew her horn and sounded the drumbeat in promising to, "drain the swamp" when Demorats took offic in the 2006 elections.
As soon as she took over, she immediately announced that William Jefferson would be heading up an important house committee. Only after much pressure from various sids did she reconsider this. NEVER did she even consider for a moment that this man was in a, "heap-o'-hurt over his behavior in stashing cash in his freezer.
The dems did the same thing with Mel Reynolds back when charges were brought against him for having sex with young girls---and---getting one young teenager to...

Well, we all know that after the FBI was supposedly investigating this and other black Reps. , Dems naturally, and that the Ethics Com. of the House had some 7 in their sights, the outstanding Black Caucus with Clyburn, Rangel, Jesse Jr. bloviating, said this was an attach on the outstanding black Reps. You know , when blacks talk about high prison rates for blacks, and then I hear Charlie talking about this investigation, I remember the fact that when one is investigating high crime rates and blacks show up on all those stats, it could be, they are the ones doing the crime.
