Political and news junkies should check out the newly-redesigned site, NewsFifty.

They have essentially taken the Drudge model and applied it to all 50 states -- all on one website (via an interactive map).

Also, unlike some websites which automatically aggregate news, NewsFifty has real-life editors culling from local and national newspapers, looking for stories the MSM may miss.

Check it out here.

4 articles on the California page tattling on Maria Shriver for using a cell phone while driving. What a fuss about nothing!

Truth is, most people stopped using their cell phones while driving right after the law passed, but a whole lot of them started texting while driving instead. So then the law was changed to include texting and a whole lot of folks went back to using their cell phones for calls when driving again.

It is an infraction to use your phone while driving. The fine is $20 the first offense and $50 for subsequent offenses. Except a lot of municipalities have tacked on their own fines now, and a first-time ticket can cost you over $800, depending where you're caught in the act.

All of this could...

I'm very glad to see others feel as I do. This is extremely important stuff! We are literally fighting for our country. We cannot trust our politicians as we have been betrayed countless times. Their promises are like the wind - there for just a brief moment then gone.

There are several serious problems we must surmount before the elections in 2010: Getting our candidates into the primaries; Getting leadership; Ascertaining that we are working as a coordinated group and not fighting each other,

Tip O'Neill, a very adept politician, once said: "All politics is local!" Truer words were never spoken. Everyone wants you to get rid of your politician but does not want to get rid of his. A thirds party, which many of us feel is...

West Virginia and it appears that this site is comprehensive.

First article that caught my eye went along with what I heard from screaming democrats when I was last home in WVA. They were quite pi$$ed at EVERYBODY they had voted for and was talking of voting them out at first opportunity. Reasons: same as lots of other folks - screwing up the health care plan, cap and trade, excess spending and taxes.

Quoted in part from Charleston Gazette:

"I think the pendulum has swung, and I'm excited to see how far it swings,'' said Troy Berman, executive director of the state Republican Party.

"Berman believes that Mollohan's positions on issues like health care reform and federal climate change legislation have hurt...
