Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to testify about the 9/11 terrorist attack in Benghazi today on Capitol Hill. First this morning, Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee where Democrat Dianne Feinstein and Republican Marco Rubio will have a chance to ask direct questions. Later this afternoon, Clinton will appear before House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The terrorists who carried on the 9/11 attack which left four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens dead, have not been held accountable and are still on the run. Secretary Clinton will surely be questioned about the lack of response from the administration on this issue and will be asked why a YouTube video was initially blamed for the violence.

Clinton's testimony comes after months of waiting. First it was stalling from the State Department on the issue and then Clinton had a major health scare which landed her in the hospital for a week. Since then, terrorists have carried out an attack in Algeria, leaving three Americans dead.

The State Department on Monday said Americans Victor Lynn Lovelady, Gordon Lee Rowan and Frederick Buttaccio died in the four-day standoff between a Muslim jihadist group and the Algerian military.

"As the president said, the blame for this tragedy rests with the terrorists who carried it out, and the United States condemns their actions in the strongest possible terms," spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

Just last week, Rep. Michael McCaul said the attack in Algeria came as a result of a lack of accountability for the terrorists who attacked in Benghazi.

“The terrorist attack in Algeria, stemming from the continued rise of Al Qaida in North Africa, should present a renewed call for vigilance to our intelligence community and the Department of Homeland Security both at home and abroad,” McCaul said in a statement.

“Al Qaida’s North African franchises have become emboldened by our timid response to Benghazi (and) have gained significant wealth by ratcheting up kidnappings for ransom,” McCaul said. “They use this wealth to fund operations against the West — and have reach inside the United States.”
