Dems Using New Ryan Plan to Push 'War on Women'

Democrats just can't get over their false "war on women" narrative. The latest thing they're attaching it to? Paul Ryan's new budget plan, calling it a targeted plan against women's health.

“The Republican majority that has now won the House are again and again proposing extreme and divisive legislation targeted at women’s health,” Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.) said.

“The level of these attacks on women’s health that we’ve seen make a lot of us wonder whether we’re in the dark ages or in fact whether we’re in the 21st Century,” she added.

Luckily, Republican women aren't drinking the "war on women" koolaid:

Anticipating the Democratic line of attack, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) — the highest-ranking House Republican — said Democratic focus on the so-called “War on Women” is an attempt to distract and scare voters.

“Democrats are off-base. And the polls back us up,” Rodgers said Tuesday morning, citing recent surveys that find most women support the GOP’s push to protect the “conscience clause” and that President Obama’s support among women voters is dropping.

“As Americans look a little deeper into these issues, what they see is not that Republicans are trying to undermine women’s health,” she said. “What they see is that Democrats are trying to scare American women. And it’s a scare tactic that isn’t going to work.”

On the other end of the entitlement spectrum, Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier is saying women will become first class citizens once ObamaCare is fully implemented at a cost nearly double what the American people were originally told.

In terms of health care, women will become “first-class citizens” as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), popularly known as Obamacare, according to Rep.  Jackie Speier (D-Calif.).

“American women have been second-class citizens when it comes to health care. In fact, women pay a billion dollars more per year for health care than do men,” said Speier during a press conference on Tuesday to highlight the benefits provided to women by the ACA, which was signed into law in March 2010.

“But with the passage of the Affordable Health Care Act, starting in 2014, no longer will women be second-class citizens,” she said. “We will attain the position of first-class citizens in this country because no longer can there be gender discrimination in the providing of health care.”

So women need a big, bureaucratic government take over of healthcare to be equal to men? Who knew!
