A candidate for their party's nomination just can't seem to get a win. What's their plan? Look three weeks forward on the campaign calendar, pick a big state to make their firewall, and spend three weeks in that state -- to the exclusion of all other primaries -- trying to win it. A sound plan? One might think it's a plausible strategy. Except... We've seen this before. It was just done and failed miserably -- by a New Yorker no less.
