What Happens To The GOP If Brown Wins

If Brown wins, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va) and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) will lead the rabble-rousing sure to follow the potentially-monumental GOP upset in the Bay State.

Cantor raises money for the NRCC, and was recently splattered all over the airwaves by publicly rebutting RNC Chairman Micheal Steele's claim that the GOP isn't ready to lead. The National Journal reports that McCarthy has several media appearances lined up after this election.

McCarthy has also raised money for the NRCC, and will be doing at least one public media spot after this critical juncture. He is in charge of recruiting Democrats in 2010.

Both will have a heavy hand in translating the special election victory into a more sweeping GOP victory during the mid-term elections this November.

Anything is better than Marxist Socialism where companies are being taken over by the government.

Solution is fairly simple:

Some government regulation..certainly.

No bailouts.

Don't worry about fail because that is part of being successful. Guarantee not to fail is ludicrous. Kind of like giving everyone 50% for knowing your name. Stupid and unwise given the outcome.

Aside from which, you fail to address how you plan to pay for your desired military interventions and pay down the national debt when you plan on further reducing government revenue.

Our long term financial and economic interests are not served by spending trillions of dollars (we don't have) to try and radically transform other nations and build up their infrastructure.

As Republicans have been so fond of saying these past nine months, we have a huge national debt and...

Protecting America *when provoked* is not foreign intervention, it is protecting US interests. Even Jefferson reluctantly atacked the Barbary pirates even though they had not declared war on us.

GOOD regulation over banks and insurance companies, but not unconstitutional restrictions. As the current administration prefers.

And HUGE budget cuts and the over due reduction of the federal government.

The Teddy Roosevelt republicans are waking up too. (AKA RHINOS) Even Graham, McCain etc... are seeing the looming disaster of an economy similar to the Roosevelt/Wilson era.

Something struck me last night as they spoke to voters. Many were angry by the negative campaign that was run by Coakley. Obviously the bash Bush agenda has worn out its welcome. Another important thing to note is that people really responded when Brown addressed the terrorism issue. Apparently people are not falling for the Holder/Obama idiocy of bringing the terrorists to a civilian court and giving them the rights of our legal system.

When a team realizes that they have hired a loser they get rid of him before he does too much damage. This is just the beginning. The biggest problem Democrats have is that they are ineffective. When they get control, they don't know what to do with it. It was the case in 1976, when Carter won with majorities similar to Obama having now, and the GOP was able to ressurect itself after the debacle of Watergate.

In 1993, same problem. They dithered on Health Care and got Newt. Oddly, Newt helped Clinton because it gave him an opponent to run against.
