Iran's sham election is part of the regime's thirty-year pattern of internal oppression combined with the export of violence.  On yesterday's program, Charles Krauthammer speculated that this sort of massive election fraud following a build-up of expectations of liberalization and reform can trigger massive populist convulsions.

There are a few reports trickling out via Twitter --visit search.twitter.com and use the search term #iran or #iranelection-- but the regime will not hesitate to use all the violence it needs to maintain its power and pursue its nuclear weapons.  Israel now knows that neither external pressure or internal reform will stop the fascist radicals controlling the Islamic Republic of Iran.  As Krauthammer also said yesterday, this makes the likelihood of an attack by Israel on Iran a near-certainty.
