Thanks to Joe Biden and his warning of an imminent international crisis for stepping on the Powell endorsement and refocusing the campaign on the third leg of McCain's closing argument: national security (the first two legs are Obama's judgment and Obama's soak-the-middle-class "share the wealth" schemes). 

Off to Larry King for a little sparring on the Powell endorsement etc, but be sure to read Geraghty the Indispensable's account of a call from Obi Wan, the anonymous but very observant analyst, who senses what many people do --that the race has taken a much needed turn in McCain's direction, and with two weeks left, there is plenty of time for McCain to close all the gaps in the battleground states and to pick off a couple of blues to boot.
