Video: MSM Scoffs at White House, IRS Excuses

Conservatives aren't the only ones throwing major shade at the IRS' explanations for Lois Lerner's missing emails and the White House's attempts to shrug off "conspiracy theories" pertaining to the scandal they've deemed to be "phony." The team at MSNBC's Morning Joe picked up on the media's general lack of curiosity about the scandal, noting how few major papers gave Monday's developments front page treatment:



Mark Halperin admitted on Monday that if a Republican administration were presiding over the exact same scandal, the press would have turned it into a "national obsession." He and other media members are conceding this point as if they're detached analysts, as opposed to longstanding members of the biased club. National Journal's Ron Fournier -- who's been calling for a Special Prosecutor to probe the matter for some time -- is sheepishly admitting that he was "naive" to give Obama the benefit of the doubt:



CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta tangled with White House Press Secretary over what he derided as a "dog ate my homework" evasion by the administration:



The cable network also aired a fawning profile segment on IRS Commissioner John Koskinen, which notes at the very end that he's an independently wealthy multimillionaire and Democratic donor. Yes, the head of the Internal Revenue Service has proudly donated roughly $100,000 to Democrats, including thousands to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and the DCCC. No wonder committee Democrats have been falling all over themselves to thank, apologize to, and slobber over this "impartial" witness. He's helped them get elected.
