There are just a few problems with this "I'm not really a Democrat" routine. (1) Jim Marshall voted for Nancy Pelosi to be House Speaker twice. (2) A Washington Post analysis concluded that Marshall sided with Democrats 89 percent of the time in the current Congress. (3) Marshall won't rule out voting for the woman he repeatedly denounces in his ad for Speaker again:
Asked if he'd support Pelosi for another term as speaker should Democrats keep control of the House, Marshall said he isn't committed to any specific candidate.
"I prefer a moderate, a centrist," Marshall said.
Translation: Yeah, probably. If GA-08 voters want someone who detests hippies, loves guns, opposes abortion, and hearts the Chamber of Commerce...and who hasn'ttwice supported Nancy Pelosi for Speaker, they can vote for the real deal.
