Gee, I'm sorry, exactly how is someone making 55K to do probably the most important job in the country (guiding and molding the next generation) "outrageous largess".

Outrageous Largress is Mark Hurd, laying off 6900 people with families to take care of, falsifying records to cover his attempts to harrass a contractor, getting fired and then collecting FORTY MILLION in severence and salary. THAT'S outrageous.

Please, you are clueless about what teachers make or the pensions for which the taxpayers are saddled with. Just do what you are told on your job and be thankful they allow you to work there at all.

New Jersey is ranked 4th in the nation for average teacher salary and have received about 20% pay increases in the last 10 years.

Go Christie! Dump those corrupt unions!

I am going by what Jabba the Governor said in his own words. He said teachers make an AVERAGE of $55,000 a year in NJ. Frankly, I think that's a pretty reasonable salary for a difficult job. Did you actually watch the clip?

Oh, he's still whining about the joke e-mail. Yeah, mess with someone's livlihood, they'll want you dead, too.

seriously, I'm always amazed by this. Essentially, rich people have screwed most of us in the working class for the last decade, where we'll all be happy with lower wages because you might ship our job to China or India, but what the heck, we'll do it anyway!

And teachers and policemen and firemen have said, "Screw you, we are keeping our benefits, because WE can vote the bosses out of office."

And he's STILL whining about the joke about a prayer for his demise?
