We all remember how the evangelicals were tolerant and respectful when Andres Serrano exhibited a photo of a crucifix in a glass of urine.
We also note how the right wing emphasizes that all Muslims are guilty because of the vile acts of a few.
The conclusions are inescapable.

Who did that book, and Rushde, wasn't it. Isn't there still a price on his head? is that because they are so loving and funny, or is it because they are faascist nut job suicide bombing fanatics?

Have watched the Inman and the preacher interviewed. Both CNN, and Anderson Cooper, was terse, disrespectful. quick to cut him off, and attempted by association to condemn him for the actions done against us
But the Inman, was a meeting of the tolerate. And every point outlined in detail. Soft ball after soft ball question. All the warm and fuzzy you could have ever asked for.
I find it disgusting, the conduct towards a fellow country men, and on the other side the total acceptance of a foreigner.
Love thy neighbor as thyself. CNN is not capable of self love,
neither is the religion the Inman represents, or the 1,500 acts of suicide bombing would not have occurred. If it was a religion of peace, then where oh where are...

Gee, Greg, it would be nice to see the ENTIRE clip. You know, in context.
I do find it funny that you guys seem to want to claim Islam as a violent religion and Christianity is peaceful (unless you count the crusades, inquistion, burning of witches, execution of heretics, abuse of children in orphanages, etc.)
So I guess my answer to the question is, "If you believe in an invisible sky friend, who shares and justifies all of your own worst instincts, be they racism, greed, homophobia, sexism, etc, it usually follows that you will do irrational things."

Gee, guy, except that usually, these involve someone blowing themselves up to get rid of someone who didn't belong there...
Lots of people blew themselves up to get rid of the Tsar, or get rid of Americans in Vietnam... or to end the war in Vietnam... But I will bet you can't quote a single Koran verse to justify suicide bombing.
I, on the other hand, can cite Judges 16:27-30
"Now the house was full of men and women ... about three thousand men and women.... And Samson called unto the LORD, and said ... strengthen me ... that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines.... And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood..... And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all...

Gee, I'm sorry, guy, but your Big Book of Judean Fairy Tales advocates stoning women for all sorts of things, including not screaming during a rape. And they ban eating Pork, too.
So maybe we should burn some bibles to roast that pig...

How about this for a headline
ANTI AMERICAN ACTS, IMPACT AMERICANS.
I am not going to try and balance all the acts of Muslims against the U.S. with the single act of one preacher in Florida. even in MSNBC's mind would be unfair.
Why does this populist pop culture, and Woodstock culture of fake love predominate?
Why is the radical suicide fascist nut job bomber never called into question? and certainly, don't think about this boys and girls. Someone is training the mad bombers, everyday I'm sure the CIA has probably got plans to crash their first reunion.
We have been dealing with terrorism since 1972. The novelty is wearing thin, and as of to day, it shows no sign of letting up, so for some reason, it is okay for me to be...

Would someone please explain to me WHY its all right to bomb our buildings, hijack our airplanes, cut our pilots throats with box cutters, blow up a ship, leave a car parked with explosives in times square. WHY major can take out a side arm and shoot twelve people dead, WHY Akbar the goat herder can strap explosives to himself and terrorize, WHY the underwear bomber wanted to give us a Chruistmas present. WHY the swath of destruction is wolrd wide,
And yet this little preacher in Florida has got every body's undies in a bunch, for wanting to burn some books. It really is symbolism over substance.

Somehow, Hank, if I were to burn a pile of Bibles, I doubt you'd be really nearly as understanding...
Of course, no one is saying those things are "okay", either. Nor is it okay to carpet bomb cities, rape 15 year old girls, put in place embargoes that starve children and cause them to die of treatable diseases, torture prisoners in violation of treaties we've signed, etc. There is plenty of barbarism to go around.
And it isn't like we are going to actually, oh, I don't know, actually ask a rational question like "Gee, is there anything over there that is really worth fighting for?" Oil? The Zionist Entity holding Palestine so Jesus can come back? Seems our reasons for doing what we don are about as dumb as theirs, really.

Careful,
As concerning burning a pile of bibles, I wish it were that instead of 3,000 people, don't you?
The Zionist entity, was put in place by the then new United Nations, fronted by the British and the French. Two countries and one group you readily support

Yes, I wish 3000 people hadn't died on 9/11. And I wish 4500 Americans and 600,000 Iraqis hadn't died because Bush lied about who was responsible and got us into a war over weapons that didn't exist.
It doesn't matter who created the Zionist entity, it was still a terrible idea.
We feel so bad about what EUROPEAN CHRISTIANS did to the Jews we are going to take land away from MIDDLE EASTERN MUSLIMS and give it to them.
It's kind of like if I said, "Hey, I feel so bad about slavery, I'm going to give Henry's house to some black folks..." It wasn't mine to give away to start with.
The irony is, the further we get away from the Holocaust, the less Jews are all that interested in Zionism. Zionism is crazy old Uncle who starts...

mr hengler, WHY do you watch msnbc? it sure questions intellegence. could you give us something important, such as chronicling HOW the obama justice department is destroying our constitution. i realize it would be work, but isn't that kind of your job. if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, did it make a noise? mr hengler, do you realize that if no one at TH ever mentioned the MSM outlets and their "mouthers" no one would hear the noise.

The hard hitting msnbc, equatting burning books to radical jihad, nut job, suicide freak fascist, who blow all they survey.
Really, you don't see the difference. ?
Here's an idea. Shoot video fo the preachers book burning in Fla. Then replay the video of the planes hitting the twin towers, on 9/11. Keep the video rolling. there. You see the people jumping out the windows because they did not want to burn to death.
That's the difference.

There is no difference, guy. All religions are based on the notion that your invisible sky friends is okay with all your anger and bigotry and totally endorses whatever mean-spirited thing you think or do.
If you look at the whole 2000 years of Christianity vs. the whole 1400 years of Islam, you'd find a lot more bad behavior on the part of Christians. The Nazis tried to take over Europe while wearing belt buckles that read "Gott Mit Uns" (God's with Us!") and they proceeded to slaughter 12 million people.
In the Global War on a Concept, we've killed 600,000 people. But that's okay, they started it... Uh, no actually, we started it by attacking Iraq and supporting the Zionist entity... but they weren't playing fair. Yeah,...

Gee, wasn't Timmy McVeigh a Christian? How about Eric Rudolf? Or that idiot who went around shooting minorities a few years ago because his fellow racist didn't get admitted to the Illinois bar?
The only thing that keeps Christians from acting badly is that we are a secular society, and if a Church started advocating real violence, they'd be put out of business pretty quickly.
