This obviously is an AFL-CIO/Democrat Party talking point. Remember on Friday when the AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer,
Elizabeth Shuler initiated the "Obama created more jobs than Bush"
myth on MSNBC? Remember too, a few weeks back when
Trumka said "We don't have a deficit crisis"
? These Union thugs must think that Americans are as powerless as their members. Well, my Card Check cronies, we'll see soon enough...

Hel-LLO. We've already been through this several times, kids.
"Elizabeth Shuler initiated the "Obama created more jobs than Bush" myth."
It's not a myth, it's the simple truth, easily proved with a few seconds of googling. The reason it sounds so strange here is that the right-wing noise machine has their followers believing that the economy was going gangbusters until Obama was inaugurated in January, 2009, when the fact is that 2008 was a financial disaster.

Again, those who understand not freedom, fear it, and seek aid of comfort from the government, because they are timid souls who cannot, or will not be responsible for their own life.
Nothing this man said in his speech, suggested, or offered a solution to jobs, except for taxes, government, and labor. Should not the employer be included in his grand plan or scheme? But as it is, Employers have been degraded to second class, but union employers have become the plantation owners of the old south. A protected group
This is what fearful men do. They hide their fear with pride, and accusations of others. Keep the deflection at high speed, so people will not see the coward's they truly are.

Just once, I would love to see a definitive breakdown by industry and sector of the jobs that Obama has "created." Even if you use the imaginary unemployment numbers touted by the Obama administration, it has been flat to last month increasing for over a year. You simply cannot claim to add jobs and report stagnant to rising unemployment figures while revising the number of jobs lost upward. Only in Washington DC does 2+2 = 5. They fool no one however with their fuzzy math.

And can someone please explain to me, how a union guy, is a spokesman for the President's economic policy?
Why not a farmer, an oil man, or someone who cuts trees down by the thousands'?
Is a union job more American than a non union job? I guess the taxes the non-union person pays aren't the same.
Then, the next step, to this conspiracy of twisted logic, is the trolls posting here talk of conservative values with disdain, and find more comfort in values other than American, than Republican. Foreign healthcare its the rage, 8 dollar gas, everybody is doing it..
We, the conservative or tea partier, or independent thinking minded person has become an enemy in our own country.
Look at this post from this union guy and study it...

remember----government jobs. Those are on the increase.
Private sector jobs?
Where real creation occurs?
Entrpreneurialship? Obama knows nothing about this sector. Nothing.
Now that's an entirely different issue---one Trumka cares nothing about, and one Obama wants everyone to forget about. There is no growth there.
This man-child is cluless...

Trumka is correct---no really.
Obama HAS "created" more government jobs during this period that Bush did in his 8 years.
Bush was a big spender, no doubt about that.
He vetoed virtually nothing.
AND----he did not expand government to the tune this POTUS has.
So---Trumka's correct.
And these are the only jobs Trumka wants to see; all he's really concerned about, focused on.
Why?
Because union membership is on a protracted decline------EXCEPT-----for those in government.
BUT...CNN would never want to venture into this arena. Nuh uh...would'nt be prudent.

Where are all the jobs, for all the money spent? They are no where to be found.
And of course the reply will be; "Oh, ya. W, and Wmd's, Cheney'a a pr!ck. Bamer brought us back from the brink. The brink of what? prosperity.

The new strategy. spend, borrow, lie lie, borrow, borrow, spend, tax, tax, tax, lie lie.
And unemployment keeps going up. What gives?
My brother who has been in the union for over thirty years, and been out of work for two years, finally went back to work. My brother who is not a union employer, put him to work.

"In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? I ask the question, If the people of a country was at the whims of a murderous maniac what price could you put on gainning Freedom for that country? I think the 60 million or so Iraqi's would have something to say about it. Let's go further what price would you put on your freedom taffy? Or your life and that of your family?

Indeed, we recall the brilliant responses and discussion offered by taffy on Aug 10, 2010 when Greg Hengler posted "AFL-CIO President: It's "Fiction"--"We Don't Have A Deficit Crisis"" Great work, taffy; we appreciate your firm grasp of the issues. Are you Trumka's personal secretary?
The U.S. annual budget deficit hit $1.4 trillion last year. It is projected to be about $1.6 trillion this year. The total U.S. debt adds up to about $13 trillion. And now Obama, in peddling his largess of labor day debt, wants to spend 50 billion more on roads, rails, runways, and run amok debt.

If I were a psychologist I'd be tempted to label Mr. Trumka "delusional". So Obama has created more jobs in two years than Bush did in 8? First of all, presidents don't create jobs - unless they are Executive office jobs. The best you can say is that presidential policies either encourage or discourage the private sector to create jobs, and that depends also on Congress promoting similar policies. It's that 'separation of powers' thing.
Unions and their membership have their place, but if they continue to insult Americans' intelligence with pronouncements like this, then they are more of a dinosaur than they are willing to admit.

While Bush inherited a faltering economy from Clinton ( the economy having grown at a 1.1% annualized rate over the previous three quarters), during Bush years:
- overall real GDP grew at an average annual rate of 2.5%.
- the number of jobs created grew by 6.5% on average.
- the growth in average salaries was 1.2%.
Numbers don't lie; liberals DO.

Actually, you better watch who you call liars, moderateBOOB. The fact is, back in Bushworld
the share of national income going to wages and salaries was the lowest on record (even going back to 1929),
your corporate dieties saw the highest share and on record. Ah, but you guys like that -- while pretending that there was growth
in salaries (1.2%?? LAUGHABLE).
Bush oversaw the SMALLEST fraction of overall increase in
workers’ pay since World War II. Ah, but at that same time, for the first time on record, corporate profits
captured a larger share of the income growth in a recovery.
The Commerce data showed that workers as a group reaped an
unusually small share of the economic gains from the current
recovery during Bush's lost decade....
