ECONOMY
Mr. Obama loves to use analogies
The economy is like a car going down the mountain with no brakes
Mr. Obama says keep the car in (D) for Democrat!
The truth is - no matter what Gear you put the car in your - screwed!
Ride it out and hope you don’t crash at the end and pray!
Like his predecessor George Bush, Mr. Obama paid more attention to the war effort than the American economy! He practices TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS give to the RICH and let it trickle down to the poor.
Well Mr. Obama the rich are not spending so the Buck stops there. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer! Millions lose homes and live on the streets!
The problem with trickle down politics is the next president enjoys the Benefits. George senior did...

ECONOMY #2
I look back at the last Infrastructure stimulus and thought with a $2,000.00 tax break there would be plenty of JOBS? ----- NEVER HAPPENED!
Out of 50 of my friends around the country only 1 found work and it lasted 90 days.
What makes Obama think this will work this time ????????????
So we will build new roads for those who have lost their homes to live on right!
Bernanki to buy up more debt - 2008
Obama spends 100 billion on infrastructure - 2008
Bernanki buys up more debt - 2010
Obama to spend 50 billion more on infrastructure - 2010
We need new ideas in this country to create new and lasting jobs not more temporary ones It is time for new leadership in this country and not more worn out ideals that have already...

Does anybody even think that Obama has a clue of what to do concerning our economy?
This feckless talking head is defunct of ideas that make a lick of logical sense. Even his advisers must be incompetent morons to toe the leftists dogma when it is plainly failing before the nation's eyes! I have never seen such foolish acts of ignorance from any previous administration bar none through out history! This has got to be the worst president and congress ever assembled on the face of the earth!

Yes Bjocko. You are correct! Obama is merely the talking head of the leftist socialists. He has not a clue of executive command! He drifts along on the underwear of his feckless idiot advisers and Czars!
This is not a statesman or leader! This is a silk purse covering over a sow's ear! Screw this piece of fiction and the whole lot of his administration! Our nation suffers as a result of its own doing! He did not have to be elected. The majority chose this fool to lead them. I hope they all rot in hell for their apathy!

And all the lefites.
You have control of both houses and the presidency. If you want to print money(you did), If you want to hand out money in a parade(you did), if you want to just give money away(you did),
But the underlying little dirty fact, is that people, business people, people who hire people, these people haven't been affected by the little party that has been going on. The orgy of spending, that has reached historic porprotions., and still the economy is shedding jobs like a snake its skin.
Summer is over What is followed by summer, FALL.

The fact is, Obama chose to use the descriptor, "Recovery Summer". Period.
The fact is, this summer has been anything BUT.
Unemployment numbers went up again, this week.
Obama knows nothing about economics, nor business. This has been proven.
For the press to frame the questions in this manner is obviously going to engender the type of response it did from this LIAR. His Chomsky-esque, "word play" and semantic gymnastics is made for questions such as this.
Barack Obama is a charming fool, that's been established over and over again.
And the press has long played a part in this.

This guy is slicker than whale sh!t on an ice floe. First it was "jobs saved", then "lives touched". Now he's got a different way to spin things; it's because of the "big hole" (also called a "big ditch at times) we're in that prosperity hasn't returned yet.. No one told him just how big the hole was. I thought he told us that he had a firm grasp of the economy's problems when he took office. I guess somebody erred and let him down by not giving him the full poop. I'm sure that person was properly blamed for said error, then promoted.
As far as regrets from this guy - forget it. That implies HE made a mistake, and that simply doesn't happen. Shame on us for even thinking that.

Vlad, you ignorant russian peasant, so now it's 'and in your country the right-wing media is trashing the discussion'.
Let's clear this up; they asked him, in essence, if he regrets being an a@@hole - a perfectly legitimate question, since presumably no one wants to have an a@@hole as a leader of a country; does he regret puting his narrow, extremist ideological beliefs ahead of real solutions that would get the country out of an economic downturn - again nothing wrong with that.
They use a shorthand, but one that everyone would understand, given the confines of the event.
Of course it all was so much easier and simpler 'back in the USSR'.

Ah, thanks so much for explaining that. So when the British reporter asked Bush if there was anything he regretted, what he was REALLY asking was "Why are you such an a@@hole?"

Obama now blames the Republicans for not passing HIS bill for small business. However, there is nothing in this bill that would encourage small business to hire anyone. Even big business are sitting on theri cash due to the environment created by Obama in the economic world. Hiring...ain't gonna happen while this jerk is proposing garbage as stimulus.

This is a perfect example of the way the media are trashing serious discussion in this country. The economic numbers are bad, there are any number of bills proposed to address the problems, an election is coming up - and they ask the president if he 'regrets' using a particular word. Who cares? All they want is for some little soundbite that they can juxtapose with another one and make him look inconsistent. Meanwhile, nobody understands what's really happening, and it never occurs to anyone to try to shed some light on any of it.
It's also a beautiful example of how the right-wing media, for all their disdain of "mainstream media," buys into the same shallow notion of "journalism."

And I am sure that you were just as outraged, and felt driven to publicly express said outrage for all to hear, with regards to the incessant questioning of former President Bush as to whether or not he regretted using the "Mission Accomplished" Banner.
If not, then I would have to say that your "disdain" for such "shallow journalism" is both "feigned" and "selective".
President Obama would do much for his credibility if he would simply own up to the fact that his vaunted "Summer of Recovery" is a major flop, and that perhaps he needs to rethink his own "failed policies of the past".

So your response is to make up something about me and then draw conclusions from it.
1. I don't recall President Bush EVER being asked if he regretted that remark. He was once asked if there was anything he regretted and he had a hard time coming up with an answer.
2. Nevertheless, I have always said that most questions from the media are pointless, whether they're to Bush or Obama or Clinton or whoever. I said on liberal sites that the "gotcha" question to Bush - could he name the prime minister of Pakistan or something like that - in the 2000 debates was stupid on the part of the media.
3. The right wing blogs are talking about how the stimulus was a failure but the Washington Monthly is keeping track of all the Republicans who...

You should notice that although I did not place a question mark at the end of the first sentence it was written in an interrogative style. It was an assumption based on your earlier statement that you felt outrage at the "shallow journalism" with regards to President Obama being asked if he regretted a simple choice of words and I am willing to accede to your second point regarding the stupidity of "gotcha" questions.
As far as your first point goes, upon swift perusal of stories on the Internet I have been unable to find a question directed to the former President that reads..."Do you regret standing in front of the Mission accomplished Banner?" but can find many instances of the talking heads asking that question to themselves and...

I guess you forget the Gazillion times W was asked if he had made a mistake regarding weapons of mass destruction and engaging Iraq in a war...day in day out every main stream media outlet bitched and complained that stupid W wouldn't admit his mistake....like if he did the war would magically be over....just like if Barry O would admit it was a mistake that the unemployment rate would magicallly be under the 8 percent that he promised us....
The only difference between the Leftwingnut MSM and the conservative media is we dont have to beg the president to tell us he was wrong to know he was actually.....WRONG....

folks, if the progressive / marxist polsters show up with the usual insults and trash, please do not respond. Please keep our focus on the need to make our nation great and have our children and grandchildren a nation to be proud of. A nation of honorable people who know the limits of government, and the acceptance of personal responsibility. In this way maybe, just maybe, our future generations will know a life better than us and live free, not under the dark cloud ot a Marxist police state. Lived under that system and it is not good for common people. I would not wish that on anyone.

One of the key words of the Obama vocabulary is 'notion'; A vague awareness or understanding of the nature of something. The Obama administration focuses on notion and commotion. Obama is a likable, inexperienced, young man but he should never had been given the keys to the car.

Vlad will be here soon enough, spittle flying of his fingers, typing furiously...'and your Reagan ...blah, blah, blah...', so let me save everyone the trouble; THIS is a recession - when your neighbours are losing their jobs, it will be a Depression if DemoKKK-rats keep the Congress, you will lose your job, and a RECOVERY will be when 2012 rolls around and Dopey BO loses his job;
to quote RR...sort of.
