Anybody else notice that a couple of months into Obama's administration, conservatives unanimously declared that Afghanistan was now "Obama's war." Because, of course, Bush had ignored it for years, had let his officers' recommendations slide for the new guy to deal with, and, most importantly, it was a very tough nut to crack. Therefore it's not "Obama's war."

But now, in September 2010, Bush deserves all the credit in Iraq. The country was fed up with Bush's management of the Iraq war and the gutless Democrats finally stepped up and put on some pressure, and we ended up with a withdrawal plan. And now you guys are all singing praises to Bush. What a bunch of transparent phoneys.

The only thing obama did for the Iraq was be an obstacle denigrating Bush for the surge. Some of the things he has accomplished since taking office are denigrate Bush, destroy the economy, promise Russia that he would destroy our missiles and nuclear weapons, bow to all the world leaders, report Arizona human rights violations to the UN, halt the prosecution of the USS Cole terrorist, appoint dozens of marxist/socialist/communist unvetted czars to important positions throughout the government, and spread taxpayer money throughout the democrat party. He has made major strides to fundamentally destroy America from within.

President Bush was the one who signed the Status of Forces Agreement, which mandated Iraq taking responsiblity for military operations.

Therefore, President Obama's campaign promise was predicated on that -- which Presdient Bush devised.

So, Balanced, what exactly did President Obama do to "Bring the troops home?"

50,000 troops still there? Hell, that is enough folks to man more than ten aircraft carriers!

the M1 tank is the most difficult battle-proven tank to kill that there is. very few of US Service Men have been killed or wounded in them.

HumVees are not tanks and were not designed for the service that they are now forced to provide, they were meant to repalce the Jeep, not as armored vehicles able to stand in battle.

and technology advances, mostly due to combat, new type of equipment are developed to meets the required needs.

funny how you fail to mention little facts like these....

but then again, we don't expect liars care...

It was George W. Bush who was committed to removing Saddam and bringing freedom to Iraq while the whole time Barry and his acolytes were excoriating President Bush. Remember Bush/Hitler? Remember "Bush lied people died"? Of course it was the bravery and fierce determination of our troops that made the "victory" possible but it sure wasn't anything that Barry did. Why didn't he claim that he "inherited" a winning strategy in Iraq that enabled him to sit in front of a bunch of camera's and attempt to take credit, much like he blames President Bush for the national debt and the economy that he "inherited". The boy-king is a fraud. This business of our combat mission is over is ridiculous. We have 50,000 heavily armed, well trained combat...

1. Obama is responsible for the timely withdrawal of combat troops. If GW (or McCain) had their way, combat troops would be there for the next hundred years. Remember righties adamantly opposed to a timeline? Well, here's that timeline working.

2. Obama was unfortunately mistaken (or just too darned diplomatic) when he said GW supported our troops. Unfortunately, that early support didn't really include things like, um...ARMOR. Thankfully, Ted Kennedy was on it hot and heavy.
