I find your post to be quite funny! It appears that facts allude you my friend. Palin resigned not because of the media but because she wanted to come down to the lower 48 and help rebuild the grassroots Reagan conservative coalition and lay the groundwork for a 2012 run. The problem is that the Democrats in Alaska coordinating with the Obama White House filed a bogus ethics complaints every time she left the state costing her over $600,000 in legal bills and she has since been vindicated on every charge. So she freed herself and decided that our Country should come first and here she is dominating the news, raising a ton of money, getting conservatives elected, and kicking Obama in the nuts every chance she gets. Oh yeah funny...

When Matthews stated that the media will hammer Palin I have to laugh because when did the media ever let up! It has come to the point that the media has literally run out of smear tactics against Palin. They have done their worst against Palin and Palin continues to run rings around them and soars to newer heights. This is how desperate the media is for something on Palin, their last attempted smear against Palin was that they thought that Palin's 14 foot fence that Todd Palin built in two days to keep the Palin stalker Joe McGinnis who moved in next door from looking into Piper Palin's bedroom was "ugly".

For the most part Matthews is right. Granted Huckabee won Iowa but think of this folks if both Palin & Huckabee were speaking in the same county at the same time who will be drawing a crowd of 10,000+? The answer is obvious. Huckabee completely lacks Palin's stength, political skill, and charisma.

Palin could easily take Iowa and SC. Romney would have a rough time there although he could do well in Michigan and even NH this time.

The media is routinely ignoring other candidates and focusing their attacks solely on poor Sarah Palin.

I mean, aside from questions about George Bush and John Kerry's military service, the birth locations of John McCain and Barrack Obama, the real estate dealings of the Clintons, George H.W. Bush's time as CIA chief and possible involvement in Iran-Contra, Jimmy Carter's competency on foreign policy, and whether or not Richard Nixon was, in fact, on of the reptilian Visitors who frequently ate gerbils and small children, there has not been a single mention of any controversy surrounding a candidate until now with Sarah.

Usually candidates win by being positive, unifying, in command of issues and steadfast. Sarah is negative, divisive, clueless about too many things, and a quitter. She is probably just smart enough not to run.
