I guess you could call CNN's idea of "fair and balanced." Sanchez appears to be using a Luntz-style forum to test the Palin-approval waters.
I put this up there with CNN's fact-checking the Obama SNL skit
.
Reminder: This is an Obama-approved "news" network. Big H/T to Lee Habeeb for spotting this.

CNN will sink further into the abyss.
.................................................
As hard as they try, both CNN and MSNBC can't come up with dynamic personalities needed to generate viewers. And when they do find a Glenn Beck or a Lou Dobbs, as CNN did, they mishandle them.
Look up the definition of incompetence.
You'll find the names of the suits running MSNBC and CNN.

Why are any of us surprised by CNN's reactions to a woman like Sarah Palin. We need to move on let them have the hour of unfame and concentrate on what's important.
Too bad Sarah didn't hit the important stuff in her book - her accomplishments as an elected official. But maybe that will be covered on Fox and with Rush.

Last March Madness, USC Coach Floyd made a press conference comment after being asked about BHO picking BC over them. It wasnt flattering.
Shortly after in the off season, he was 'investigated' by that agency for a thousand in an envelope. Like a jaywalking ticket in their world. He resigned.
It happens.

One would think the Obama's would be less threatened by Palin. The best thing Governor Palin did was resign and tour as a private citizen. She can say whatever she wants and how she wants to say it WITHOUT the Obama hacks sending lawyers to "investigate her' in Alaska.
Do you think the IRS will be auditing her?

And why not? To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. SOMEONE has to counter the nonsense that continues unchecked at FoxNews. Good for CNN for stepping up to the plate.
But let's look at reality, shall we? FNC runs rightwing fodder 24/7 without breaking the cycle. The only people who don't recognize that blatant truth are the usual suspects who cry foul when hypocrisy blind sides them.
More truth and reality: MSNBC may run three hour long shows a day that feature liberal pundits, but the rest of the day is balanced with Morning Joe and regular news. Same with CNN.

GREG,
Turn the page or get a new book!
Gawd, the USA IS GOING DOWN IN FLAMES and you are consumed with the Palin-Prejean personal soap opera saga and personal pity parties.
gawd, accept the fact that Palin is so Yesterday!
She and Prejean are in this mud wrestling match with the media, with Hollywood, and the other guy and the other gal, she said, he said, she did, he did,
WE do not have time to pull them out of the mud and hose them off and prop them up.
There are 300 million legal citizens to choose from, surely we can find leadership with a spine, who knows what the issues are, who offers solutions, who can lead, and does not subject us to their personal crap!
We are so done...

Clarityseeker - It'd be hard to argue that the news programming on CNN and MSNBC is driven by $$$. Maybe their viewers only watch during presidential elections.
For qtr ended 9/30/09, Fox News has the top 10 cable news programs. They average 2.25 million viewers during prime time, an increase of 2% over the prior year. MSNBC only averages 946 thousand and is down 30%. CNN only averages 788 thousand and is down 10%. Specifically:
On Fox:
O'Reilly 3.295 million, up 12%
Hannity 2.603 million, up 9%
Beck 2.403 million, up 89%
On the Record, Greta 2.150 million, up 16%
Spec Report w/ Bret Baier 1.997 mil, up 20%
On MSNBC:
Olbermann 1.087 million, down 12%
Maddow 996 thousand (started 9/08 so no...

Obamacan'ts haven't a valid claim that Lady Sarah can't cut the mustared but their witch Hunt
still continues. Only this time she can be true to herself, not be duty'bound to just grin and bear it! Palin, defend yourself against the smear merchants. We have your back!
They just show their ignorance and hatefulness when they expect you to suffer in silence and distort the truth. Palin, the real deal has true grit. She is not going to roll over and play dead so get over it! Go Sarah, the best of the rest. Ex Democrat

Bottom Line:
The media in this country has long operated with an agenda-driven business plan. One could speculate whether it is entirely political in nature or strictly $$$ in their motivation to do so.
The fact is, it has only gotten worse. And here we are 10-20 years later and lo' and behold, CNN is still pullin' the same shenanigans.

clarityseeker - Correct you are!
And, it went beyond CNN's withholding stories of torture by the regime. One reporter discussed actually reading propaganda prepared out of a meeting with Saddam Hussein's Information Minister.
Here's the story:

And, for more detail with a response by CNN's News Chief at the time, Eason Jordan:

Was CNN the station which was granted a Baghdad bureau office by Saddam Hussein as long as CNN only reported positive and glowing reports about Iraq during the entire 1990's?
No reporting on the, "RAPE ROOMS".
No reporting on the mass killings of dissenters.
No reporting on the heinous acts being meted out against the Kurds in northern Iraq.
No reporting of Saddam's draining of the thousand's-years-old (3,000 square mile) swamp region in southern Iraq (bringing about the deaths of large numbers of indigenous people to that area.

So you must understand that this individual is nothing if she is not self loathing. That's why she has assumed several different persona's. At various times she has been a doctor, a lawyer, a wealthy socialite, a Barry Goldwater acolyte, a wealthy Maine property owner who is so incensed with Maine's vote to deny gay marriage that she plans to divest her holdings there, she's been 57 years old, she's been 37 years, her father died, but 2 days later he was alive! In short, this is one sick puppy who elevates self loathing to a whole new dimension. Steer clear of this self loather.

fear most. Poker players, they are not. They are scared shyteless of Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Michele Bachmann, Ann Coulter, and Mark Levin. For that is where the lion's share of their vitriol lies. Notice 3 out of the 5 are women. Flying in the face of their claim that they are where the women are. They are the chick party, no doubt, not because strong women reside there, but because they view the world through emotive female eyes. Where fairness is supreme. Failing to understand that the world has always been governed by the effective use of brute force. And because we have been the most effective, benevolent user of that force, the world for the most part has remained free. If we are ever replaced, the world will quickly descend...

He's too smart to be fooled, just ask him.
George Will is too polite, but he should have countered, "To many Americans, "intellectual" means "pointy-headed statist" or "nanny-state elitist". They're especially suspicious of "self-described" intellectuals. Given the track record of nanny-state elitists, the suspicions of the audience whom Palin appeals are not without merit."

Hear Hear!
They talk about Palin because it helps their ratings (lord knows they need it), but doing so drives people to her book. Smart.
Btw, the emperor has no suit. He's naked. No suit = no coattails.
