"You call him a liberal? Because he had sex with an underage girl?"
No.
We call him a liberal because the very mention of him drives you nuts.
The dots aren't hard to follow.
Case closed.

he'll likely just have his attorneys call and payment will be made. Most of these matters are not lawsuits, dear, dear TH crazy people.

"He pleaded guilty to the crime of having anal intercourse with a 13 year old child." No, he didn't. He pleaded guilty to a different charge,
unlawful sexual intercourse, aka statutory rape. Statutory rape is, by the way, an interesting crime. If I offer a 13 year girl a ride to the bus stop, and she accepts the offer, and I drop her at the bus stop, not kidnapping is it? But if she can't consent? Inconsistent, you think?
I've said nothing to support him. I've only stated the facts, which seem to be a problem for some of you.
He was not convicted. The charge he pleaded to carried a fairly short jail sentence, even now it is only up to 4 years (UP TO).
You are all so angry at something, who knows...

Thanks. Appreciate the effort but I don't think we'll need to check.
If Morgan sues or takes action the smart money says you won't shut up about it and if he doesn't.........

Either way....... we'll know

Notice the word "americans" is not in upper case.
Telling. You sure, septic, that you've got your Kaboom covered up?

Actors have no rights to shows they appear in. If anybody had a licensing beef, it would be whoever owns the rights to the old Dragnet shows.
Harry's "image" in this case is owned by them....

"No, Mike, there was NO TRIAL"
He pleaded guilty to the crime of having anal intercourse with a 13 year old child. He was awaiting sentencing and then fled the country and also became a fugitive. Why do you continue to support this child molester?

Try to get some grasp on reality. Polanski copped a plea and was awaiting sentencing when he skipped.
And the flight case, should we get him back here, should be a slam dunk.
Even for an LA DA.
Oh and scep....I lived in H-wood for 20 years in the music business. Yes. You see celebs everywhere. It is very common.
What is also common is that mature adults stop yammerin' about who they saw where after they've been there for about 2 months.
Unless you live in Pacoima.

There was a grand jury investigation. That is not a trial.
Yes, I am more concerned about police and/or judicial misconduct than I am about any specific crime. OJ Simpson and others walk free because the general public does not accept the justice system as it is.
I don't know how to say it any plainer...he should be brought to LA for trial. And suffer whatever the consequences are.

Polanski WAS tried and WAS convicted. Just becuase he confessed doesn't mean he wasn't tried and convicted. And the 'concern', as you put it, is how idiotic the hollywood crowd, and people like yourself, are proving themselves to be by defending the child rapist.

you live among celebs. I remember once going to dinner with my wife...we ran into our doctor. Now, Matthau and Lemmon and their wives were at the next table, and this being about 30 years ago, we were very impressed to see such famous actors in the same place. I said to our doctor, hey, did you see who's here. He said, yes, isn't it neat? I said, yeah, Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. He said, no, Dr. somebody, the most famous ortho at the time.
Fame is relative.

My friend lives in the SF Valley, nice area, but modest. One morning, she was walking her dog, and her neighbor spoke to her....Luke, you are my son. Yup, James Earl Jones. I went to the doctor the other day, Jamie Lee Curtis walked by and we exchanged smiles on a beautiful So Cal day. Saw Arnold at the market. There are celebs all over, and they live amongst us.
I think if you use their likenesses, you should pay them.

Seems to me you are more angry about how the laws are implemented than Polanski himself.

Paddy, the right of publicity. You've heard of that, yes?
And Clay, I know that you are not a good reader, but I haven't defended Polanski, not once. I said he should be returned from Switzerland and given his right to be tried by a jury of his peers. It sounds to me like his guilty plea might have been improperly obtained based on the court's misrepresentation. We'll have to see what the court records show, but the current judge has commented in rulings that he thought there had been judicial misconduct.
I realize that many americans seem unable to accept the fact that we have to try people before we can imprison them, unless they admit their guilt. The crime Polanski pleaded to had a maximum 16 month sentence. The...

Sorry to hear about your daughter. My spouse and I make sure that we do not spend a penny supporting these liberal clowns. Anyone who can make an excuse a man that drugged and raped a 13 year old girl has no morals whatsoever. Septic aka Kaboom is nothing more than an idiot. Anyone that touches a child should never spend one day out of prison in my mind.
