With the release of Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein’s report on the CIA’s Enhanced Interrogation program, a forty million dollar joke has been perpetrated on the American people, curtesy of the California senator.

As U.S. military bases and diplomatic facilities around the world are placed on high alert for possible attacks by Muslims further inflamed by the declassified details of the report, the costs of Senator Feinstein’s ‘knock knock joke’ will continue to spiral upwards as we’re forced to ramp up additional security precautions to address the threat. Millions more will be spent, and unfortunately lives will probably be lost so that the senator can try to claim some supposed moral high ground, when the reality is that this report was released for purely partisan political purposes.

The report itself, most likely ‘cherry-pick-written’ by some young junior aides who were probably still in grammar school, and who have little understanding or appreciation for the challenges faced by our intelligence professionals tasked with protecting this country from further attacks after September 11, 2001, came to the conclusion that the EIT program was of little value, and hurt America’s reputation around the world. A conclusion reached without one single Agency participant in the program being interviewed.

Had they made the effort to carefully and objectively evaluate the program, including interviewing those involved as well as the analysts who received the intelligence information obtained from the detainees, a completely different story would have been revealed. A story that would show clearly that additional attacks had been prevented, senior terrorist leaders arrested, killed or neutralized, and America made safer.

Incidentally, there was no damage to America’s reputation as a result of this program until AFTER Democrats, with help from their allies in the liberal news media began to use it as a political football against the Bush Administration.

Now our adversaries have quickly begun to use it for propaganda purposes, as our allies shake their heads and wonder why America continues to shoot itself in the foot on the world stage.

Apparently feeling obligated to chime in, Vice President Joe Biden, true to form says something stupid about America being the only country in the world who will publicly admit our mistakes, and that somehow this makes us better than all the rest ? Here’s a news flash Joe, the rest of the world is laughing at your administration, and wondering if the United States will be able to recover once you two are gone, from the damage you and your president have caused to American leadership and prestige in the world.

America’s allies will certainly take a very long look at whether or not it’s in their best interest to cooperate with us in future endeavors, not knowing whether their participation will end up on the front page of the New York Times, or be trumpeted by pompous, holier-than-thou American news anchors.

Particularly our friends, and we do have them, in the Arab world. They are the ones who will be placed in very precarious positions once word of their assistance to us in the past has been revealed.

But Senator Diane Feinstein, ignoring the ‘law of unintended consequences’, and with the encouragement and full support of the Obama White House and one Republican useful idiot, pushed forward with releasing this report with little regard for the potential violent repercussions expected around the Muslim world.

Taking center stage the other day Senator Diane Feinstein told the world her forty million dollar ‘knock knock joke’, but unfortunately the only ones laughing now are our enemies.
