Walker To Hillary on Milwaukee Emergency: You're Not Helping

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has made it clear he doesn't want Hillary Clinton's opinion on the Milwaukee riots. The unrest, which began after a police officer shot and killed an armed black male, Sylville Smith, who refused to drop his weapon, has resulted in violent protests across the city. Multiple officers have been harmed, while several cars and stores have been lit on fire.

Clinton, who couldn't help weighing in on the unrest on Monday, said the situation proved America still has "urgent work to do to rebuild trust between police and communities."

In an interview on "Fox and Friends" Tuesday morning, Walker rejected that kind of rhetoric.

"The people who live in the neighborhood want police -- they want the police in Milwaukee and the sheriff's department to step up and protect them. They didn't want the criminals who were doing those actions against those businesses to do that. And I think statements like that and the lack of leadership we have had from the president on this issue only inflame the situation."

Walker has declared a state of emergency as the situation continues to escalate.
