should at least talk to someone who owns a business before making such stupid proposals.

TazzMazz, who are you talking to? you better have a truckload of Darwin Awards...to pass out all over DC.
If you had been in charge of government policy in 2008...
You really would get to start over with republic.

your progressive/regressive brethren should have taken small business into account before the massive TARP giveaway fraud.
Kinda like closing the door after the horse is out of the barn.
You geniuses deserve the "Darwin award"!

These are very unusual times....
small business people are having their lines-of-credit slashed for no good reason.
Can the US afford to lose more businesses right now? That would be a negative.
We're in the most precarious of economic times...
Ain't for the faint-hearted, or ideologically trapped.

The laws about TARP I AND TARP II are specific and the senator was reading them to the 'uneducated Obama administrator' who believes congress should now change the law to suit Obama's new idea of a 'jobs bill'.
The problem with that premise is that - Obama's jobless recovery has led to massive defecit without ANY PLAN to ever repay the debt.
HEALTH CARE WAS THE DEMOCRATS WATER LOO. Obama did not offer leadership and the senate vs. house democrats could not agree to a bill even after massive bribes were handed out. They owned the bill and the lack of a healthcare bill will be remembered as the dems worst failure yet.
60 votes, 4 major bribes in the senate, house majority and a president who could not vacate for...

So now, American Laws will be changed to suit BO's political agenda. The TARP funds were spent with SPECIFIC LAWS IN PLACE. This shifting funds laws that congress is expected to make sound more like community organizing ACORN voter registration corruption.
Perhaps Madoff can consult with BO and his crew how best to 'use the TARP funds' what the heck? The man did not even acknowledge that the law prohibits them to do what they want to do.

Munck believes that EVERYBODY agrees with him. He told me yesterday that EVERBODY had agreed that Obama made Congressional Republicans look silly. When I disagreed, saying I had watched the debate and disagreed he resorted to the usual left wingnut argument that only those who agree with him count.
He's just a typical leftist loser who sees nothing outside his own pea-brain.

Frightening isn't it that those in charge of the country need to be reminded that they must follow laws.

As I said in another TH thread -- they are juvenile and throw tantrums when they lose. On top of that, it is frightening that apparently elected/hired officials don't understand the LAW and had to be shown said law, before they conceded.

I think Orszag had a quick lesson in law by Gregg; TAUGHT what they can and can't do.
I think it was very clear Orszag intention was to TAKE the funding, not request it through proper channels. Same for BHO.

Libs don't understand that you cannot just do something because you want to. Right now as you stated this money is not supposed to be used as a slush fund. The bill that was passed said that the money was to be returned. If the dems want to change that then they must go through the appropriate process to do so.
Apparently Obama and his crew forget that they actually need to follow the rules. Gregg did a nice job of reminding them.

Yeah he wants to be seated so he can vote down more spending bills -- like they are preparing to do to fund small business.
No more handouts - they don't work. If they want to help small business, then at the very least keep the Bush tax cuts, loosen unnecessary/ over lapping relegation, get out of the way of small business.
And for God sake BHO act POSITIVE, and stop slamming industries such as Vegas.

Orszag was REPEATING the promise BHO made in NH. he said "The purpose of TARP was to address problems in our financial markets." Then goes on to say they want to access the returned funds in the BUDGET to spend on small business.
The LAW says they have to return those funds to the treasury - period. They can't just TAKE those funds. They can however form a new bill and present it to congress to attain funding.
Greg was spot on.

Just wonderful. You hit Munck in the head with a brick this time. The man is just a waste of time. He goes around and around and is about as dishonest a poster as we have seen. Best to just pass him by. He like his buddy Vlad and a few others are hardly worth spending one second on.
Again, nice job.

Mr. Munck, I will not EVER debate with you again...EVER!!! You have proven, time and again, to be a rabid dishonest manipulator of truth and intent vs. my and other bloggers posts. Your out-of-context manipulations are legend; sooo, get lost. I could, with a tad of research, give you a long itemization of laws and rules changed, and thence conveniently, changed back to suit/accommodate the Democratic/liberal agenda.
But, what really intrigues me is your constant, constant, constant use of "collective" pronouns when referring to YOURSELF. Mr. Munck says...."Bea, tell us....". "Bea, TELL US..."; Bea, tell US....".
Us, Mr. Munck??? Who are "us"??? Oh, let me guess, you are on BO's payroll?? No?? Or, maybe your...

This just had to be an AOL snafu: where did this pol originate???
-------
In response to this question, I have absolutely no idea where the poll originated from - nor do i care. My meaning was this is what we have all come to, instead of looking at someone's substance we take credence with their looks. You are absolutely right about Brown much better to look at. But let's see what he's got as far as principle and value before we cast judgement on the man.

Once again, you all are perfectly happy to watch somebody get angry and insult someone else without allowing any facts or logic to slip in. This video clip never shows Orszag's response - why should it? You get to watch a Republican blowing hot air, and that's all you need.
Fact is, it's WORKING for you. You've almost shut down a year-long health care process with fiction and outright lies. Congratulations! Why stop now?

AP...reports the following:
"Brown demands to be sworn in earlier than planned, By GLEN JOHNSON, AP Political Writer
(02-03) 10:54 PST BOSTON, (AP) --"
"The Republican who captured the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's seat says he wants to be sworn in immediately, not next week as planned.
An attorney for Scott Brown says in a letter Wednesday to Massachusetts Gov. Deval (deh-VAHL') Patrick that the senator-elect has been told there may be votes in which he wants to participate.
The attorney says Brown wants the results of the Jan. 19 election certified by 11 a.m. Thursday so they can be forwarded to Senate officials for immediate action.
The demand reverses Brown's prior statements on the issue. He...

Your Mom sounds sooo very dear. Yes, at 88 years old, she has seen much. I am sure that you reinforce her spirits by affirming that the American people are awakening to the conspicuous revelations as to "truth" regarding the occupiers of the WH.
The voting constituency of Massachusetts, a royal (dark) blue state, confirmed this loud and clear.
My Father, USN, deceased at 61 years, is probably a very, very restless (agitated) soul. Similar to your Mom, he loved this Country to distraction. Accordingly, he instilled that love of Country in his children (my brother, USAF and I).., thus, our passion has not waned to this day.
Soooooo, as you stated, we have to continue to fight, and, get rid of the anti-American...
