In Obama's America, we are witnessing the highest spike in poverty since the 1960's (lest we forget, the era when massive government spending began to end poverty).
And now, national debt is out of control (creating economic uncertainty, which inhibits job growth), thanks in large part to the failed Democrat stimulus package.
Rather than trying to do the things that would actually promote job creation -- like cutting regulations on small business (and eliminating the albatross of ObamaCare, now hanging on businesses everywhere), increasing domestic energy production, reforming the tax code, and promoting free trade -- Democrats in Washington, D.C. are fixated on gun control and gay marriage.
After trillions of dollars spent pushing a "War on Poverty" that now appears to be lost, it's worth asking: Is this the best they can do? The obsession with social issues suggests that the Democrats have no answer for getting Americans back to work, and out of poverty.
As for The White House? Planning proceeds apace for another glitzy concert featuring Justin Timberlake and Queen Latifah.
