The degree of Al Gore's hypocrisy is, of course, staggering -- dramatized by his sale of Current to the emir of oil-rich Qatar, conveniently timed to minimize his tax burden.
Bt his business partner, Joel Hyatt (son in law of the late liberal Howard Metzenbaum) is no sweetheart either. Remember the movie "Philadelphia"? It's oddly similiar to a real-life episode in which Hyatt (also a liberal in good standing) fired an attorney in his Philadelphia office because the young man had AIDS (and died two months after winning a lawsuit against Hyatt Legal Services).
Writing in National Review online, Victor Davis Hanson provides multiple examples of liberal class warriors who themselves live the high life. But obviously the left wing hypocrisy isn't just economic, as Joel Hyatt (and Al Gore himself) demonstrate.
