A major book publisher is planning to release a sexually provocative, fictionalized novel loosely based on First Lady Laura Bush’s life during the first week of September—a date that conveniently coincides with the Republican National Convention.
Even though the story is not true Radar Magazine said Curtis Sittenfield’s latest tome American Wife, to be published by Random House, “is sure to send the White House into a fury."
The plot, supposedly linked to Mrs. Bush, revolves around various incidents of incest, lesbianism, abortion and explicit, intimate relations with the President. Some of these scandalous excerpts are available on Radar’s website. (I don't find them suitable for reprinting.)
The 576-page book is available for pre-order on Amazon.com for $17.16 plus shipping and handling. Its formal release is scheduled for September 2, smack in the middle of the Republican National Convention which begins on the 1st and ends the 4th.
American Wife follows Sittenfeld’s best-selling book Prep.
