44% of voters say they approve of the President’s job performance. Fifty-six percent now disapprove. That’s a new low in the era of Hopenchange. Former House Speaker Denny Hastert is in the news and it's not good news. Hastert has been getting thousands of dollars in taxpayer to pay for his office since he left the House. The City of Chicago will be shutting down early for the Christmas holiday. The move is a part of Mayor Daley's plan to save the cash-strapped city money.

Heather Stearns husband showed up at a gay bar to drunkenly heckle Stearns opponent Jim Madigan. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor yesterday and said the only ones opposing the health care bills are “the birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups”. Mary Katharine Ham from The Weekly Standard joined the show to weigh in on Whitehouse and the Senate health care debate. The Democrats are trying to push through a rules change that would make it impossible to ever repeal ObamaCare. A priest in Great Britain is encouraging his congregation to fight the bad economy by shoplifting. He says that as long as they only rip-off big chain stores, it’s perfectly alright.

Good news, the federal government has finally laid down the law. Airlines are only allowed to keep you locked in an airplane on the tarmac for three hours. A Bears fan group wants to buy a billboard to protest the Bears terrible, awful, no good, very bad season. A group called “BearsFansUnited” is calling for Lovie Smith, Ron Turner, Jerry Angelo and Ted Phillips to all be fired. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is back in the news. He has put inmates in tent cities and made them wear pink jump suits. Now he is pumping Christmas music through the PA system at his jail 12 hours a day. Iran has tested a new long range missile that can reach Israel and several US military bases in the middle east. The GOP may be trying to win back the black vote in a unique way. Republicans John McCain and Peter King are lobbying the Department of Justice to pardon boxer Jack Johnson. Former Governor Rod Blagojevich was at Columbia College to review Elvis movies. Senator Chuck Shumer called a flight attendant a not so nice name on a flight back to New York. I’d rather not say it here, but it starts with a “B” ends with “itch” and has been used by Larry King to describe Hillary Clinton. A bill being pushed by Democrats in the House would give all illegal immigrants legal status. They would have to register with the government, pay a $500 fine for each adult, learn English and pass background checks. The White House party crashers weren't an isolated incident. A Georgia couple who showed up at the White House a day early for a tour somehow wound up at an invitation-only breakfast with the Obama's. Yesterday we learned that Gitmo detainees coming to Thomson is all but a done deal. Congressman Peter Roskam joined John and Cisco to weigh in. 8 year old Massachusetts boy is send home for drawing a picture of Jesus. The assignment was to draw something that makes them think of Christmas. Their reasoning is that the little one drew a picture of Jesus on the cross, and that was too violent. Still, sent home for drawing Jesus for Christmas?

Former Cheers star George Wendt joined John and Cisco to talk about his new book Drinking with George: A Barstool Professional’s Guide to Beer. The legal team behind Rod Blagojevich may call President Obama to testify. Since the case isn't against him, and it wouldn't involve any executive privilege do you think that Obama will testify? People in Asheville are now threatening to go to court to keep an atheist from taking his seat on the city council. The North Carolina constitution says that atheists are barred from serving in elected office, but that law has already been struck down by the Supreme Court.
