According to a reporter with the TimesDaily.com, Alabama Democratic Rep. Alvin Holmes allegedly said on the state House floor that he doesn’t like Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas because…he’s married to a white woman. Holmes, for the record, is African-American.
Despite being slated as the man who would unite the country as the first black president, leaving racial tensions behind us, just 10 percent believe race relations have improved under Barack Obama.
A recent statewide survey in Florida, where the racially sensitive George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case emerged, revealed that a majority are displeased with the state of race relations since President Obama took office.
