In 2010, Democrats lost ground across America’s electorate. They saw declines in all racial groups – including losing white voters (who comprised 77% of 2010 voters) by 23%. They lost both male and female voters – replacing what had been a 14% advantage among women in 2008 with a 14% deficit among men in 2010.
