The unemployed among them complain that the jobs available to them are beneath them. This bunch seems to be living under the delusion that simply by virtue of having been born they are entitled to immediate arrival at the boardroom level with appropriate compensation.

When the Tea Party movement erupted in the spring of 2009, the media elites dismissed them as corporate-generated "Astroturf" noise. They found them barely worth covering, even to besmirch them.

There is an opportunity cost to every decision. Nothing is “free”. Many on the left and right think that decisions that they make offer free alternatives. However, there are huge costs associated with "free" things.

I hate to say it, but watching the various YouTube videos of the Occupy Wall Street protests and reading accounts of protesters' goals and "demands," prompts me to shake my head with a resigned, "I told you so."

Since I first broke the news of the Occupy Wall Street protest plans over a month ago, events, as predicted in that column, have turned into a cluster-hug of groups and causes. A collective of union members, antiwar activists and young people with apparently nothing better going on have gathered to vent their frustrations.

So, when Occupy Wall Street - and their blind allegiance minions - took to the streets in New York, they merely filled in the blanks in the protest template.

The OWS crowd is really ticked off about education and student debt. So am I. Why the heck do we have so many subsidies for education? It simply drives up the cost. Education is one gigantic bloated bureaucracy. However, the OWS answer is “free education and forgiveness of student loans.” Well, screw that.

If you're serious about going after Wall Street, it's hard to see how you could vote for Barack Obama who ladled out billions in taxpayer dollars to Wall Street corporations.

Rational people realize that President Obama's policies have been an abysmal failure, which is why his only hope for re-election is to try to sow confusion among the voters, such as those populating "Occupy Wall Street."

Al Sharpton, Nancy Pelosi, different leaders of varied labor unions -- pour it on, folks! Show your political solidarity with all the "occupations" going on around the country! Speak to us in anguished tones about the awfulness of free market mechanisms like banks and the horror of earning more money than someone else.

You remember those ads on the internet that that said: “Obama wants you to go back to school!” It’s his fault that you have a degree in art history; a degree with such awful earning power that you can never earn back the money to pay the interest on the principal that you borrowed from the government.

I wouldn’t think it would be worthwhile to draw attention to the Occupy Wall Street “movement,” or its list of demands that wouldn’t pass muster in an average kindergarten class. But if America’s president and vice president choose to talk about it, and give it credibility, then it’s news.

There have been many attempts – from every part of the political spectrum – to assign blame for the financial turmoil of late 2008. Judging from the recent New York protests and the reaction to the introduction of monthly fees for debit cards, there are still many people angry with bankers.

The knee jerk reaction is that if I don’t concur with Occupy Wall Street and their assault on capitalism, that I must be a greedy capitalist and think the bankers are great guys that should be left alone.

“Steve Jobs has passed away,” I heard a DJ remark. “That’s a shame.” Yes, it is a shame. I was saddened to hear that. I was equally shocked as I turned the dial and heard something even more deadly. It was a comment from actress/comedienne Roseanne Barr, literally calling for the death of certain wealthy Americans.

This week the media discovered that the smell emanating from lower Manhattan was not a broken sewer line with a hint of patchouli and marijuana but was, in fact, body odor from a left-wing protest...with a hint of patchouli and marijuana.
