The story begins on 24 February 2010, when the First Lady of the United States of America used her White House platform to introduce the little-understood concept of the newly-discovered "food deserts" of America to Americans as part of a media blitz.

How ironic. Our first black President, Barack Obama, gets over 90% of the black vote in both elections but seems to run from black issues like he’s running from the plague. When was the last time he gave a policy speech on the breakdown of the black family?

The Obamas think they’re celebrities instead of public servants. They appear on late night talk shows, shaking their booty and crooning slow jams with Jimmy Fallon, luxuriating in fundraisers with Hollywood’s elite, golfing with Tiger and of course presenting Oscars.

The 2013 Academy Award broadcast generally steered clear of overt political statements, but two aspects of the occasion demonstrated the movie industry’s strong liberal values.

Isn't it grand that we have such a cool couple in the White House? Hollywood would never have deigned to invite any other First Lady to present the award for best picture at its annual self-worshipping soporific. Mrs. Obama knew just how to flatter the nearly inexhaustible vanity of people who sell tickets to shows.

A Psalm of Obama (To be sung by children, K-12, every morning of their seven-day school week.)*

The nation’s largest teachers union has published an article supporting the new federal school lunch regulations championed by First Lady Michelle Obama, despite the fact that students across the nation have complained about the food and not getting enough to eat.

An article earlier this year in Politico speculated that this presidential election may be the first one ever to be decided by women. The Obama campaign understands this, and has trotted out a series of ditzy female celebrities to declare their support for Obama because he is for “women’s rights.” Eva Longoria, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Ashley Judd, Scarlett Johansson and others have come out publicly with statements within the past few weeks. Longoria spoke at the Democratic National Convention, and has said, "There is an attack on women’s health care and President Obama's policies are the only ones that are going to move the agenda for women’s rights.....I find such a champion in President Obama -- which is why I passionately support him -- specifically because I'm a woman.” But what exactly does this mean?

In response to the growing outrage over the one-size-fits-all, top-down lunch menu regulations handed down by Michelle Obama and bureaucrats in Washington, DC, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack offered an incredible response: Let them eat snacks!

In Wisconsin, high school athletes are complaining about not getting enough to eat each day, due to the skimpy new school lunch menu mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The conventions have come and gone, but as always, the TV network "news" coverage of Tampa and Charlotte demonstrated once again that these people have no intention of trying to be equally positive or equally aggressive with the two major parties. Their obvious, but unstated, agenda is to drag Obama over the finish line to re-election.

I spent this week in Camp Vagina, aka the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. I call it Camp Vagina because attendees heard more about genitals than any ideas on how to fix President Obama’s broken economy. Overall, for a convention to promote a campaign with the theme of “Forward,” Democrats sure spent a lot of time looking backwards.

Tampa, Fla., was like the Republican National Convention delegation -- older, more experienced, less excitable. Tampa has hosted the Super Bowl; the city had lots of space and nothing to prove.

Michelle Obama, in her speech to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte last week, explained that her husband "believes that women are more than capable of making our own choices about our bodies and our health care."

The Democratic National Convention is an elaborate effort to sanitize a failed record that cannot be rehabilitated, even by the glib sophistry of former President Bill Clinton.

The question this fall is clear: Do we want a president who cares for others but is not competent or a president who might care, if he could just show it, but has proved his competence?

Michelle Obama connected with voters during her moving opening night speech of the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday. She was smart, extremely likable and the perfect spokeswoman for the American president as she talked about "the unflinching sacrifice" her parents and husband's family made so their kids could have the "chance to go places they had never imagined for themselves."

The corrosive theme pervading the Democrat convention is government is the solution to all our ills and “we the people” can achieve a government subsidized American Dream.
