A big week for the unions, with racketeering charges coming for the SEIU. We heard from Illinios Roy, who I think is really just Transport Secretary Ray Lahood in disguise. Plus what week wouldn't be complete without someone comparing Republicans to Hitler?
In this week’s Email, Hate Mail and Comments column Odin the Intellectual asks: “Does this racist twit ever write anything serious?” although it’s not immediately clear that he’s not talking about himself; Henry says that we have to use a better message; and Lilly? Well, Lilly is just her usual self.
Another week and another round of comments and answers from my friends, both conservative and progressive. I see Lilly and Goshawk and Odin and James. And the week wouldn't be complete if bin Leaded didn't resort to name-calling. I suppose if you are going to write 30,000 words per week on a message board, you are bound to call someone a name sooner or later.
Every week I get a response from a reader of this column that goes something like this: "Mr Ransom, I really like your email column but aren't you just encouraging the liberal trolls by paying attention to them?" We'll here's my response.
We had a shortage of liberals this week on the message boards and emails. But we have enough to make a scrum. So here’s “have at it” for this week’s edition of Email, Hate Mail and Comments from Readers.
Lots of energy on the message boards this week. We talk Libyan energy, domestic energy, we make windmills out of molehills and I prove that liberals ought to stick to reading history, not writing about it.
It takes a long time for the greatest economy in history to get a return on investment when you get to spend more money in two years than all the other presidential administrations combined. Can’t you at least be grateful for the budget deficit? You whiners.
There is lots of Sarah-hate this week to wade through, plus we tackle Austan Goolsbee- and who doesn’t want to do that? -Paul Revere, investment and tax theory explained for liberals (we’ll use very simple arguments with gratuitous references to green jobs just to keep them interested), plus we’ll give out a gold star for the comment of the week.
This week's comments cover Obama's re-election strategy, the faux outrage police, faux conservatives, and Dolts of the Chevy or Clash line.
It’s big, big mail-bag weekend. There’s lots of hate mail. We tackle the economy, finance, maids (but not in the same way as DSK) and home-schooling moms in plaid smocks who make us all so nervous when we fly.
Busy week for email and comments. We talk about the vital service zoos perform in the War on Terror; we straighten a few liberals out on illegal immigration; and we uncover the diabolical plot of mortgage brokers first started under Reagan.
Hopefully everyone will have some fun with their moms this weekend, rest, relax and hold family just a little closer. But first, read and then re-read Email, Hate Mail and comments from Readers. Then call your mom and read it to her too. My mom would appreciate it.
Our debt chicken came home to roost, twice; our economy is stalling; Superman’s going international and electric cars will, sooner or later, be deemed a threat to a type of ground squirrel that you and I have never heard of.
Since Friday for me- at least this week- is the new Saturday, here’s a bonus edition of Email, Hate Mail and Comments from Readers. And thanks for doing the hard work of freedom.
Obama’s speech was inept and lame, but was it really more inept and lamer than his attempt to cut our dependence on foreign oil by giving a speech? Was it more inept than the speech he gave where he claimed we were not at war in Libya and which was billed as an explanation for the “war in Libya?”
It was a great week of debate on TH Finance. Now that we're at the weekend that means another stellar edition of Email, Hate Mail and Comments from Readers. It's MY turn to sound off on issues. Again.
We discovered once again, as Lincoln once said of a contemporary, that Obama can squeeze the smallest idea into the greatest number of words of anyone who has ever been president. We also learned that when things get really tough and leadership is called for, Obama takes his cues from Hillary, just like the 3AM video from Saturday Night Live.
It’s the weekend. And nothing says “week-end” more than answering a week of endless inquiries from our readers ;-). So here’s a glance at the email, hate mail and comments we’ve accumulated over the week.
