My best guess is the sun is hot. I feel its heat. I see by its light. I understand its role in the growth of crops and other living things.

On Sept. 11, 2001, when two planes plunged into the World Trade Center, Americans watched in awe as New York firefighters, police and paramedics rushed to the scene at risk to their own lives. Some 343 firefighters and paramedics and 60 police officers paid the ultimate price in their desperate rush to save other lives.

I have my doubts about the deputy commanding general of Ft. Hood. Despite overwhelming evidence that Hasan committed an act of jihad, DiSalvo -- like the Army, like the U.S. government -- looks the other way.

How would you describe a perennial presidential candidate who insists in a televised debate that government has no more right to interfere with prostitution or heroin than it does to limit the right of the people to “practice their religion and say their prayers”?

Mr. Blair endorses what Mr. Bush says about the most important issue of our time. Blair clarifies the moral courage and the serenity with which GWB made his decisions. Quite often, they worked through those decisions in unison.

I am proud to be ahead of the curve on this issue and I commend Senator John McCain and Congressman Ron Paul for their steadfast opposition to torture. "Thinking that torture is wrong is not a liberal or conservative value - it is simply a value."

Osama bin Laden is dead. The Middle East is in chaos. And radical Islam is floundering.

It’s been over a week now since the U.S. located and took out our public enemy number one: Osama bin Laden. Thanks to the American intelligence officers and Navy SEALs’ successful execution of the operation to find the al Qaeda leader, our nation has finally concluded the ten-year manhunt for this vile terrorist.

Pretty soon Congress will face one of, if not the toughest votes of this legislative session – the decision on whether to raise our nation’s debt ceiling. It is perhaps the defining moment of nearly 87 new GOP freshmen, along with dozens others (including Democrats) who could lose their jobs come next November should they vote the wrong way.

Vacationing at the same time each year has been both wonderful and harrowing. During our annual post tax-season holiday, coincidentally, several national tragedies have occurred.

We finally got him. Almost a decade after the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, justice has been meted out to the mastermind of Islamic terror, Osama bin Laden.

Stirrings of life on Capitol Hill: Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, has introduced a bill to stop distribution of $3 billion in aid that Congress appropriated for Pakistan this year until the State Department certifies that Pakistan was not harboring Osama bin Laden.

Although he won’t be physically present to help mark the demise of Osama bin Laden, Americans owe President Bush a debt of gratitude for instituting a slate of controversial policies that ultimately helped execute that very goal.

Congratulations to President Obama for the gutsy call regarding the killing of Osama bin Laden. I didn’t know he had it in him. His campaign pledge of going into Pakistan unannounced – once
met with derision by John McCain and the Republicans – was fulfilled and is precisely what it
took to get the bastard.

"I'm proud of the path of Osama bin Laden,” gushed Ilich Ramírez Sánchez from a French prison in 2002. Ramirez was also known during the 1970’s as "Carlos the Jackal," and “The World's Most Wanted Terrorist." In 1967 Ramirez-Sanchez was an eager recruit into Cuba's "guerrilla" (terror) training camps started by Che Guevara in 1959.

Good people rejoice when evil monsters are cut down, and by the tens of thousands good Americans from one end of the country to the other came pouring into the streets last night to celebrate the death of Osama bin Laden.
